Overall the Nintendo Switch version of Torchlight II is excellent. With full multiplayer support, both local and online, unique pets based on your console of choice and so many quality of life updates geared towards console players, Torchlight II is an ARPG worth picking up. If your a console player who loves ARPG's or are interested in ARPG's or you just love Torchlight II, I suggest taking a look at one of the best ARPG's on the market.
While the original base game has been expanded to five chapters die-hard puzzlers should have no issue completing this game in 5-10 hours. Though somewhat short the game is priced right on Steam for $9.99 USD. Even so, the puzzles are great fodder for your brain. The whole game seems like a mash-up of Myst interlaced with moments from Archer (TV series) with the classic style of the "No One Lives Forever" video games. Sadly this looks like the final chapter for Agent A but if Yak & Co decide to extend the adventures of Ruby La Rouge we'll be the first in line to buy it!
A friendly bullet-hell shooter with an innovative idea
I started to criticize the game for not giving me the answers to its frustrating moments, but then I took a step back and realized that is all part of the game. There is no going back to try again with your lineage. If you fail, you have to deal with your failure. Sometimes it's a simple mistake that you can recover from. Other times, it's a critical mistake like killing off your last male and being left with only females and the generations cease to be. It just goes to show how closely actions and consequences go hand and hand.
If you’re a fan of quick, matchmade hero shooters and long for a spiritual successor to Evolve, then maybe Vicious Circle is for you. For most gamers however, I probably wouldn’t recommend this game. At least not right now.
Pagan Online is an ARPG developed by Mad Head Games and Wargaming.net. In it, you take on the role of a recently deceased hero in search of the missing gods. While the game is decent, certain elements are holding it back from being a new go-to replacement for already existing ARPGs.
Overall, Mable & The Wood is one fun game. It is one that I will continue playing until I get all of the endings because I like it that much. It is a Metroidvania style game that has slight changes from the original type. There is not yet a price for the game listed but we will update this once it is available. If you guys are looking for a fun game to play then this one is highly recommended by me.
All in all, Remnant is an excellent game and definitely hits on both of our "MUST BUY" lists. Other than a bit of input lag on commands there really isn't anything we can complain about, which is pretty damned rare for the both of us, since the years have made us both bitter and picky when it comes to games. If you have the money, and you have access to a platform that will support it, you should be playing it. NOW.
Overall, Doughlings: Invasion is a fun-filled game that is good for a player of any age. My son had a lot of fun playing it at 8 years old, and I also had fun playing it at 33. It is a game that is worth the $9.99 USD and is available on Steam, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. I had an issue putting the game down because it was a little bit addictive to continue playing it until you beat it, so have fun out there.
After the roller-coaster of experience with the launch of Friday the 13th Game and ongoing lawsuits with the original writer of the script for Friday the 13th that may mean the end of any more DLC plans for this game - this pack is actually what the game should have been in 2017. Simply put this is a valuable collector's item not just for horror fans but for anyone fond of the '80s to share with future generations for years to come or just to fire up whenever you need to visit that hockey mask-wearing terror!
Overall the Doom Collection on Switch is a treat to own. It has literally provided several hours of entertainment. Each game offers a smooth, slick gameplay experience and offers players some serious bang for the buck. Despite the sleep mode issue, all three titles are worth picking up if you're a fan of the series and are looking to introduce some Demons to the business end of a double-barrel.
Overall, Damsel is a cute little game that anyone can get into.
It’s nigh on impossible to dislike Hamsterdam. It is a cute caper with some very cool ideas that plays to its strengths. This isn’t an expensive or expansive game. It is a quick distraction and a wonderful one at that. Consider a weekend break to Hamsterdam and you won’t be disappointed.
Overall, Madden 20 is one of the better Madden games I have played in the last few years. The gameplay feels better and the story mode is a nice touch to a sports game. It gives it something that you can replay to try and get different outcomes from your combine and championship game. The Superstar Edition that we reviewed is available for $79.99 USD and the standard game is $59.99 USD. It is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. If you get the game I would suggest trying the Face of the Franchise mode first.
Overall Metal Wolf Chaos XD is a blast from the past that sometimes leaves you wondering if the past should stay buried. It is a neat little shooter with some fun mechanics and decent gunplay, but the story is out there and is not meant for anyone looking a serious epic story. It feels better with a controller versus using keyboard and mouse, but could be played both ways. At $24.99 USD it's a good price for a good game that may have you questioning things and scratching your head, but you'll be having fun while doing it. Give Metal Wolf Chaos XD a try today!
It’s time to sum everything here up and tell you the truth about Silver Chains in short and simple words. Don’t buy it. This is my loud and clear message for those who are reading this review. Silver Chains has several structural issues that never allow you to enjoy your experience.
Etherborn is a short and sweet platform-like puzzler game. It features surreal, artistic graphics, beautiful music, "ethereal" controls and is in itself quite unique. The downside is the game can be completed in three to five hours
The gameplay, art, and controls are all solid, the music is nice but an odd choice for a platformer, and the voice acting is good, but it's largely marred by the mashup fanfic plot. I found a few bugs, and there was some lag in controls, but they were largely incidental, and to be expected in a small team game this soon out of Early Access.
If you're a fan of Age of Wonders, or 4X in general, you're going to love Planetfall. While it has a steep learning curve, once you learn the ropes it becomes very fun, very fast. Planetfall combines systems like Civilization with XCOM in a way that blends the two genres together for a wonderful mashup of fun.
Don't Bite Devs' platformer Wreckin' Ball Adventure is a unique physics platformer where you, a robotic, bouncing ball, must escape from a high-tech facility. The game features 60 levels, a playground mode, and an endless mode for up to four simultaneous players. Although the premise is derivative and the level design sometimes uninspired, Wreckin' Ball Adventure is, in fact, a fun and very bouncy adventure.
