Though Trover Saves The Universe is a short playthrough, clocking in around six hours, it's still worth taking a stab at it. The 3D control aspect is refreshing and the dialogue is hilarious (assuming you're not easily offended). Gameplay was fun and finding all those Power Babies is a reward in itself. Trover Saves The Universe is definitely a comedy adventure game that is fit to sit on the shelf with those other iconic titles in the genre!
Conqueror's Blade is genuinely fun. The battles are frantic, the breadth of units is awesome, and the variety of game modes and diverse places to progress mean that Conqueror's Blade is a great game to play for both casual and dedicated players. Its open-ended and broad nature also mean that there are plenty of avenues to explore, whether on the world map, in terms of mechanics, or even progression. Just be prepared for to sink the necessary amount of time to enjoy all that it has to offer.
That is the reason to play My Friend Pedro in a nutshell, although bananas don’t have shells. My Friend Pedro is beautiful violence. Just like Doom, it takes a simple idea and builds an unrelenting pace. It is an unyielding and remarkable display of carnage that will keep any assassin’s finger twitching
If you want a quick blast of noise and a fun challenge then is right on tempo. The mechanics might be pretty clean cut but this deleteriously bright beat-down is charming.
Cadence of Hyrule is every bit a classic Zelda adventure with the added wrinkle of a rhythm puzzle game. It's not overly long, but Cadence of Hyrule is the kind of game that will kill you over and over again, and you'll still keep begging for more. It's a classic top-down Hyrule adventure, with a playable Link, Zelda, and guest-appearing Cadence from Crypt of the Necrodancer. It's a cross-over you never would have expected, and one that quickly becomes an absolute treasure.
Clam man got a smile or two out of me in places, but at best it's a semi-interactive read along that tries to be a bit out there but falls flat.
Overall, Void Bastards is a great game, with a good art style, and it really hits the spot for a first-person shooter. It is a little different from other shooters with how your character respawns, and who is being used to continue the game.
Eden Rising is a nicely constructed open-world exploration game with a side of tower defense thrown in. Nvizzio Creations has created a vibrant world to explore, complete with a simple yet effective crafting element.
Gamers looking for quick fun, vehicle customization, and special career planning goals will be disappointed, but if you're a die hard MotoGP fan, this will certainly delight you.
I would highly suggest giving this game a try for its story alone. Coupled with pleasant music and a distinctive art style, it is well worth the price of $10.99 on Steam. I enjoyed playing the game so much that I would even go as far to say that it was really worth double that. Though I did miss that feeling of player freedom, I did feel that there was enough there to keep me engaged in what was going on from a narrative point of view. Gato Roboto is a delightful Metroidvania title that favors the classics enough to feel a sense of connection to them while forging is own path forward. Filled with plenty of humor, challenge, and healthy heap of cattitude, Gato Roboto is a purr-fectly satisfy title.
Overall, the differences between the PC and PS4 ports are minuscule. The game plays very well on both with little to no lag.
I can go on and on about the advancements and improvements that continuously grow in simulations games but let's face it, it's not going to be the last time you will hear me say that. What I can say though is the driver experience in Assetto Corsa Competizione was unique. The world textures are believable, the weather system generates a true environmental feel. The cars look great.
Splitgate: Arena is a game that really struggles with its identity, and that focus ultimately relegates a potentially great game to mediocrity.
Slay the Spire is a nearly endlessly replayable Indie delight from Mega Crit. It came out on the PC and PS4 already, but Switch owners owe it to themselves to pick this one up as it's nice to have a such a stellar and casually playable game on the go. Some of the best strategic RPG fights in the industry, with a steep difficulty curve, means you'll be trying to best this game for weeks or months before you tire of it.
Super Cane Magic Zero is fun. It is bright, bold, mostly an engaging attempt at doing something different. If you like the oddball work of Sio then you’ll love this. Do bear in mind that most of the game is hand crafted so there is not a ton of replay value in it.
Just like Elsweyr. If you’re still salty about not getting an online Skyrim; get over yourself. Elsweyr is great and if you don’t agree you’ve probably spent the last month with your face in a massive pile of moon sugar, like Tony Montana at the end of Scarface.
Darkwood for the Nintendo Switch will certainly scratch the itch of a survival focused gamer. This takes the premise of games like Don't Starve, then takes itself much more seriously and makes it somewhat spookier. The harshness won't appeal to everyone, and the horror themes wear thin before too long, but for the right survivalist, or glutton for punishment, this may be exactly what you were looking for.
Unruly Heroes is a game of boinks and swooshes. Everything bounces around weightlessly and nothing makes sense. The rhinoceroses don't charge, the spears don't chunk into wood, and the thrown enemies have no impact whatsoever. The voice acting is aggressively bad, the writing is lifeless, and the game itself is devoid of personality. It is white bread. It is room-temp tap water. It is not worth your time.
Overall, PixArk is a very graphically friendly version of Ark, and it is available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One. It is available now for $24.99 USD, which is a good price for someone that doesn't want to pay too much money for a new version of a game they already have. If you are down with pixelated Ark then go for it and spend the money. I feel it was a very fun port of a game that I spent a little bit of time with.
