It is always said that games must be judged for what they are and not for what we would like them to be: Star Renegade is a strange mix of strategy and jrpg, all under the umbrella of the roguelite-genre that ends up delimiting, and partly limiting, all the best aspects of the game. I could not stop thinking, at each run, that a normal campaign, even a short one, would have benefited the pace of the game and could make all the mechanics make it shine at their best.

A competent 3D platformer with some rough edges and an overall higher-than-usual level of difficulty.

A small story that serves well to introduce new users to the world of virtual reality, but the experience of Vader Immortal is unfortunately very limited and gives very little reason for a new game, after having reached the end credits.

Nintrendo packed some truly unforgettable classics in a single pack. And forgot to celebrate them the way they deserved to.

Both a very nice tribute to Virtua Racing and a good arcade racing game per-se, Hotshot Racing is a nice single-player experience and a surprising multiplayer package.

A great narrative game, with good art style. The battle mechanics are simple, the game core is clearly the narrative.

NBA 2K21 is a solid update of NBA 2K20... but with a strange and unpredictable twist. The new shooting meter is made for online competition and, in the end, follows the metagame rather the basketball flow. Maybe it's good for the pro gamers, but it feels unbalanced and frustrating for the bastketball lovers.

Spellbreak is an interesting battle royale that offers intense fights with spells and enchantments, but its "magic" runs out quite fast.

Not a bad expansion but not even a very good one, Peril on Gorgon can be an enjoyable return to the Halcyon colony for those that can't wait to play some more of The Outer World. For everyone else, it may be better to just wait for a sale... or the next DLC.

With its perfect controls and its intriguing mechanics, OkunoKA Madness is a love letter to all recent high-precision platforms, like Slip, The End is Nigh and Super Meat Boy. A true hardcore platform, with a lovely speedrunning twist that guides the player in a deep loop of tries and learning. A very good take, despite some too frustrating levels.

Tell Me Why is a good game but some flaws in the plot make the story a little too confusing and uninvolving in the end.

An enjoyable graphic adventure heavily inspired by the great classics of the past, with a light-hearted approach to storytelling and plenty of puzzles to solve. It's not a new masterpiece but it can provide hours of entertainment for all the fans of old school adventure games.

Easy Days Studios strived to achieve a great and realistic control system for Skater XL, and they nailed it. On the way to get it, though, they forgot to build a proper and fun game around it.

Peaky Blinders: Mastermind is a puzzle game with interesting mechanics, which pays dearly for choosing to remain faithful to the structure of the TV series, only to reveal its potential in the final stages - just like Thomas Shelby usually does with his opponents, ironically.

You have a first world war setting (somewhat, it's 1920) and giant mechs to destroy everything with. Do you need anything else?
