Assassin's Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarok is fun and rich but shallow expansion. The mythic take on Assassin's Creed adventure could have been great thanks to a nice setting and the new powers, but it feels just another skin of the same structure, which works, yes, but after more than 100 hours, it probably needed something more.

A Musical Story is a warm, interesting and charming small adventure about songwriting and inspiration with, at its core, an essential, but not shallow, rhythm game. It looks and plays as a 70s rock concept album and lingers through solos, emotional spikes and perfect esecution. Sometimes is a bit unfair, but well, the road to perfection can be harsh.

The excellent gunplay and the good RPG features are the best elements that Gearbox has created in this weird-yet-great Borderlands fantasy spin-off. While not flawless, Tiny Tina's Wonderlands can be enjoyed in 20+ hours, even if it can become boring if approached in single-player mode.

A touching homage to Benoît Sokal, Syberia: The World Before leaves the problems of the previous game behind and manages to bring us once again in the wonderful world designed by the Belgian author. It's not perfect in every part, but the whole experience is emotional and surprising: a worthy chapter in Kate Walker's saga.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land is one of the best games in Kirby's history. The renewal is limited, but everything works well and there is a desire to feel important and to live a "real" adventure that they have rarely found in the story of the pink hero.

Lacking in innovation and technical prowness, Rune Factory 5 compensates with a solid and faceted experience that could eat a good chunk of your spare time if you get entangled in its intricate web of different mechanics.

An abysmal drop in quality: nothing in this DLC is redeemable and the price that's asked for it way too steep. Stay away from it and replay the base campaign.

Ghostwire Tokyo is a peculiar and charismatic open world, with a rewarding combat system and a fascinating location to explore.

Distant Worlds 2 is a 4X for veterans of the genre, looking for a game to challenge all their management skills. CodeForce crafted a deep, complex strategy game, albeit one that doesn't concede anything to the modern age in terms of graphics and narrative.

Tunic manages to take something (obviously on a smaller scale) from Zelda, Dark Souls and Death's Door, resulting in a challenging and fascinating action-adventure even if it lacks any truly original ideas.

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax brings to modern gaming platforms all the content and updates wisely crafted by Arc System Works for Atlus' best fighting game yet. Unfortunately no new relevant features are included with this porting but at least the game has been freed from the shackles of old gen consoles.

Phantom Breaker: Omnia, while not affecting the greatest exponents of the fighting genre, represents a nice diversion.

An action RPG with several technical and structural problems, fun at times but too immature to achieve the objectives it sets itself.

Babylon's Fall does nothing to be, if not remarkable, memorable: at least not in a positive way.

It wasn't hard to do better than WWE 2K20, but 2K22 goes further: it's not flawless, but the new gameplay is quite enjoyable after absorbing the new control scheme.

Young Souls has a beat-em-up heart and an RPG brain. And, at the end of the day, when you jump into the fray, your heart commands. The action is compelling and has a good pace, and the self-irony that reigns in each text gives the game that extra something that helps it build its own identity.

The Queen of Whispers is the best expansion in Destiny 2 history, as well as one of the most significant add-on content in the history of the entire franchise. Not to be missed.

Despite many good ideas, Aztech Forgotten Gods is a superficial experience lacking real courage, representing a step backwards for Lienzo. The story develops hastily, failing to describe each of the characters featured in the game's plot. The gameplay is too confusing, with not very incisive and unfortunately similar to each other, never really giving the feeling of diversification in the combat system and with unfortunately very similar bosses.

An evolution too timid of the previous game: practically a missed opportunity for Yoko Taro.

The Cruel King and The Great Hero could have been the right evolution of its predecessor, but for every step forward there's one back. It remains, however, a nice fairy tail to play with the youngest.
