79 / 100 - Black Mirror
Nov 28, 2017

Black Mirror could've been an excellent game with a good story, cool gameplay and puzzles that demand a lot from the player, but the graphics and gameplay fail in some moments. If you miss games like the first Resident Evil or Alone in the Dark, you should give it a chance because you won't regret it.

Skyrim VR is the best immersive experience that the player will get among the various versions already released of the game. The player will have the sensation of actually being in the northern cold lands of Tamriel, exploring its diverse and beautiful settings and interacting with NPCs. On the other hand, in terms of graphics, the game has inferior visuals compared to the remastered version. Using a pair of PlayStation Move as controllers is both liberating and frustrating, due to several tracking problems that greatly disrupt the combat, thus making this type of control more of an experience that entertains momentarily, but that inevitably will make the player stick to the DualShock.

.hack//G.U. Last Recode is an amazing entry point for new players and a very rich package for long time fans. In other words, it deserves to be enjoyed by everyone. All changes and additions made to the games are justifiable and the new volume revitalize the franchise. This collection shows how remasters should be done.

Cursed Castilla is a refined Ghost'n Goblins, with a fair and appropriated level of challenge. The story is a mere background and little instigates the curiosity. The graphics and soundtrack are simple, replicating the rudimentary elements of its source of inspiration. However, the action and the core of the gameplay are rewarding, and in the end, that's what matters most to a video game.

98 / 100 - Chaos;Child
Nov 18, 2017

Chaos;Child brings an amazing story to the world of SciADV titles, approaching a genre yet unseen by western players in this series. Despite having localization and a few structure issues, Chaos;Child is possibly the best visual novel released for console in the last few years.

The fourth episode of the second season of Minecraft: Story Mode focuses again in its story, with scarce moments of action and exploration. In compensation, the main characters have a good amount of time for their development. It is not the best episode, but a good warmup for the ultimate battle against Romeo, the Admin playing antagonist in this season.

The Frozen Wilds is a great expansion for one of the best games of 2017. The added content is quite significant and the main missions tell an interesting story, too. The addition of new machines, skills, equipment, weapons and collectibles make everything even better.

70 / 100 - Sonic Forces
Nov 14, 2017

Sonic Forces is not a bad game, but it isn't great either. Negative points: Classic Sonic gameplay, unnecessarily short (almost without alternative paths) and a simple story (even for a Sonic game). Positive points: Modern Sonic and Avatar gameplay, soundtrack (mainly Avatar stages), beautiful graphics at 60 frames per second and many challenges. Sonic fans will play it anyway, but if you're not a fan, play Sonic Mania instead.

Spintires: MudRunner is something different than any other racing game currently available. It is a simulator of truck wagons, heavy trucks, tractors and cranes that will put the player against challenging and treacherous terrains. It is a great game in every technical aspect, with small problems that can be easily repaired in the future.

Summon Night 6: Lost Borders is a great Strategy RPG, with a fun story and an involving and rewarding gameplay. Unfortunately, it suffers with the poor quality of its voice acting and some problems with its archaic presentation.

75 / 100 - Numantia
Nov 11, 2017

Despite having a not-so-well-explored story and small problems that can interfere with the pace at which it is played, Numantia is undoubtedly a great and addictive strategy game. Many players will spend hours and hours, while the more curious ones will discover great stories that have not been properly presented to the world.

Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus is an excellent follow-up to The New Order and it is also one of the best shooting games from this generation. The story, yet simple, is interesting and with a lot of unexpected moments. The most important, however, is the gameplay, which is fun and should satisfy any player looking for a good shooting game.

Bubsy: The Woolies Strike Back is a very simple action and platform game. There are two ways you can play it: by ignoring the collectibles or not. Depending on your decision, the game might last between 1 to 5 hours. Either way, its simplicity remains. Play it to kill downtime, but only when it is on sale.

25 / 100 - Morphite

35 / 100 - ELEX
Oct 30, 2017

ELEX is a game that, despite its promising setting and some good story ideas, fails in every single aspect in delivering a good game. Mechanically and technically speaking, it's a terrible game, making it impossible to enjoy whatever good aspects it might present.
