"Every story begins at the end of another." This is the main premise of Tales of Kenzera: ZAU, a metroidvania-style game that, while inviting us to explore the beautiful biomes of Kenzera, also makes us reflect on loss and mourning, making it possible to see death with new eyes. The debut title from Surgent Studios gets it right by bringing a good balance between exploration, puzzle, combat and action while presenting us with a story full of inspiration from Bantu myths and legends, guided by a great soundtrack. The game works as an excellent gateway to the genre and brings with it a plot of reflection and acceptance.

In addition to introducing a new character and mechanics in a musical theme, and even a final boss, A Tale of Paper: Refolded retains its charming atmosphere and challenging puzzles, although its brevity and some screen depth issues may leave players craving for more. Overall, the game continues to offer an engaging and captivating experience, with the potential for more DLC.

Harold Halibut may not be the most innovative game in terms of intervention mechanics in the world, apart from making some slips in the rhythm of the narrative, but it is undeniable that the sum of its powerful story and its spectacular art style make this one of the most irresistible games of recent times.

ArcRunner offers an immersive roguelite action experience, with a variety of classes and difficulty modes, in addition to multiplayer. Although it faces obstacles in terms of usability due to its unfriendly interface and the lack of clarity in some of its mechanics, the game could reach its full potential with a few tweaks and offer a more rewarding experience for players.

Terra Memoria is an excellent and cozy RPG that delivers a good story, a good combat system, and a very entertaining experience while dealing with several very interesting themes. Although the combat becomes repetitive quickly and the 3rd act is a bit short, the game deserves the attention of all fans of the genre.

Dave the Diver is fun and charming, adopting a bold formula by blending distinct genres of management and simulation. This results in a title that constantly entertains and piques the player's interest. It's a pixelated spectacle with a small scope and gigantic results.

Let's! Revolution! It's a great game that mixes problem-solving, sharp strategy, and turn-based action, reveling in the obvious references and conventions of the roguelike genre. Although it lacks a certain provocative spice, it is an addictive, well-reasoned, and absolutely entertaining game.

Loretta is short, brings unjustifiable puzzles and can be dragged for those who are not fans of the narrative genre. But even in the face of all this, it is dense, mature, visually beautiful in an unconventional way and brings a strong, unsettling and disturbing plot, as any good classic thriller should be.

Despite having a simple gameplay, Torn Away has an incredibly told story that makes it go through an intense experience in its almost five hours of gameplay. An excellent narrative with a very well built main character.

Understood according to its focused proposal, Moonglow Bay is a quiet game of melancholic but hopeful daily life. The simplicity and conciseness make it fall into routine, but there is purpose in the cycle of actions that fits well with the narrative of, one day at a time, revitalizing the community and the life of a widowed person who will use the fishing rod to deal with her grief.

Felix The Cat is an ideal collection that reflects the past and the power of Nintendo and its 8-bit games. However, it is limited and would deserve greater attention in the delivery of its content, adding even more pleasant memories for fans of retro platformers.

Freedom Planet 2 takes its inspirations from one of the biggest franchises in video game history, but refines mechanics, design, and narrative that had already been introduced in the previous game. The sequel manages to improve on what was great and becomes one of the best exponents of the genre.

Saviorless is one of those games where the simplicity of the gameplay and the quality of the art direction work together to create something unique. Even though the campaign is short, walking through the steps of the characters and unraveling the mysteries of the narrative make it worth the time.

Ruff Ghanor is a good digital representation of the character's universe and a game that has engaging mechanics, despite being challenging to the point of seeming unfair in some situations.

MLB The Show 24 is a great baseball simulator and one of the most competent sports games on the market. This year's Storylines are excellent and the new features in Road to the Show add a lot to the solo experience, although there is a lack of new features in the other modes.

Grandia HD Collection needs to be seen from two angles. As a game, it brings two excellent and charismatic adventures with one of the best turn-based combat systems in JRPGs, highly recommended for those who enjoy the style. As a collection to re-release old games, however, only the bare minimum has been made, with no extras or quality-of-life improvements. Even with the important step of bringing the games to more current platforms, these versions have technical flaws and are far from definitive.
