GRIS is the most tender and probably the most beautiful game of the year. Clean and minimalistic act of art

Below is a torture: the game is so beautiful and intriguing, but it's such a pain to actually play it.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is not messing with its name. This is really a Super Ultimate edition of one of the best fighting series around, packed with a crazy amount of content and characters. But some minor issues like poor online matchmaking are preventing SSBU from getting the highest score.

Aurora44 managed to build a distinctive and unique game on mechanics, which has long become familiar. Do not blindly copy other people's achievements, but embody familiar things in your own vision. I look forward to what the authors will do next.

Another Just Cause game with a couple of meaningless additions, which didn't fix almost any issues of Just Cause 3.

Mutant Year Zero sure is a great looking game with nice post-apocalyptic atmosphere. But way too often it suffers from lack of depth. Which is the main thing you would expect from a good tactical game.

The Council was a really promising adventure back in March. With intriguing plot and interesting RPG mechanics in conversations, first three episodes sank you deeper and deeper into the mystery of the island. However, the last two episodes forgotten about great atmosphere in favor of global human history and supernatural, completely killing the mood.

One of the best card games on the market, which is no small feat. Easy to learn and enjoy, definitely hard to master. And that's great.

Three wonderful remakes which are definitely worth your time whether you are a Spyro fan or a new player who always wanted to know why this little dragon is so popular.

Darksiders III is smaller than its predecessors in terms of scale, but still a well-crafted and fun action-adventure. A rare thing these days.

Probably the most pointless videogame of this generation. Not a survival sim, not a role-playing game, not a Fallout game. Just a steaming pile of ideas that doesn't even work properly. Maybe it will be reworked later like No Man's Sky, but since it's already heavily discounted everywhere, it doesn't seem like Bethesda cares about it that much.

Multiplayer modes are really fun, but Battlefield V doesn't feels like a complete game. It simply wasn't ready to be released, which is obvious when you look at the main menu with locked content, or the amount of bugs and other stuff like unbalanced progression system.

Despite its superficiality, 11-11: Memories Retold manages to display the poison that is war, and evokes the feeling of bitterness from the unlearned lessons of history. The game is so humane that you will forgive her many things.

A great sequel for those who just wanted another Hitman with huge new maps. New game is still as great as the previous one, despite the lack of big meaningful gameplay additions.

GRIP: Combat Racing is a really, really great gift for the fans of the Rollcage series. The game manages to capture an atmosphere of futuristic racing games of the past. But GRIP also inherited all the cons of its predecessor, like broken balance and lack of content.

Return of the Obra Dinn is a skillfully woven web of events and destinies. Unraveling it is not only an excellent workout for the mind, but also a real pleasure. Lucas Pope again remolded routine processes into an exciting gameplay, and, most importantly, he gracefully escaped the “second game syndrome”.

Yet another mediocre horror, but with RPG elements this time.

Not revolutionary, not groundbreaking, but still an amazing experience which you should definitely try out. Clunky controls, sometimes annoying mission design and some mechanics that seem out of place won't ruin your atmospheric journey through the last days of Wild West.

Soulcalibur VI fills the gap between casual fighting games and serious e-sports disciplines. It has great mechanics, which are easy to learn for newcomers, and perfect character editor. But most important of all is that Soulcalibur VI is really interesting to play.

A fun game which looks and plays really well, but suffers from a repetitive structure and a mediocre story.
