Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is a great addition to the Borderlands franchise and it brings back some of the comedic flair that felt lacking in the third main entry. The fantasy world's design is equal parts beautiful and exciting which has led to some of the most intriguing comedic and action moments of the year so far that you shouldn't miss.

The best assets of The Ascent are the visuals, the music and its lore and world building which has made Veles feel like a real living, kicking and breathing place but the gameplay feels just OK with a not so smooth UI.

It’s not every day that we get to experience a Japanese ghost story of this caliber in the world of video games but Ghostwire: Tokyo utilizes its setting in the best way possible and uses the audio-visual presentation to heighten the whole atmosphere even more. Although at the beginning the aiming has an imprecise feel to it, the combat is designed in a way that is quite fun and also leaves a room for experimentation but the open world’s structure feels a little outdated while the design of the city is great.

Tunic is so magnificent in every way, from gameplay to visuals, that you can't do anything other than envy the its developer. This is without a doubt one of the year's absolute must plays.

From pure gameplay standpoint, Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is one of the best action/rpgs ever which gives the players so many options to experiment with almost infinite number of builds and possibilities. Plot-wise and the use of music also feels like a love letter to not only the first Final Fantasy but the whole history of this franchise so it is very unfortunate that the game’s outdated visuals may turn off some of the audience from even trying it.

In the end, the Dawn of Ragnarok just doesn't quite connect with the main game in a satisfying way and its biggest additions to gameplay be accessed in the main adventure which in turn make it feel pointless.

Submerged: Hidden Depths starts as a relaxing experience and utilizes its beautiful visuals and nice tunes to the fullest but half way through the play time, it unfortunately starts to feel monotonous and repetitive.

Horizon Forbidden West is the most standard big budget video game you can find and that is the game's most glaring flaw because as much as everything looks and feels expensive, it also feels as by-the-numbers as possible and lacks the kind of personal touches a product needs to become a true masterpiece.

After the last entry which was the absolute low point for probably any franchise in the history of video games, it seems that the developers have used the hiatus in the best possible way and finally released a professional wrestling title with many entertaining modes and a whole new combat system with modern visuals.

FAR: Changing Tides biggest goal seems to be trying to deliver a relaxing and beautiful artistic experience which it manages to achieve while also giving the audience an entertaining ride, full of emotions and satisfying moments.

Babylon’s Fall doesn’t put its best foot forward but if you stay with it through the first couple of main environments, then it becomes one of the best action/RPGs that you can both play alone as a hefty challenge or you can play with up to three other players as one of the most chaotic epic fantasy video games of all times. The game’s biggest shortcoming is its visuals which uses a not so eye-catching style.

Beholder 3 masterfully combines all the elements of its predecessors and delivers the ultimate dystopian/totalitarian sim which in turn make this game a very scary and thoroughly enjoyable experience.

The world building is great and ELEX II manages to fully drive home the notion that avarice can lead to absolute destruction and it is only through co-operation that we can thrive, problem is the gameplay still needs to be way better to be as entertaining as the competition and the visuals and voice acting are just acceptable. Maybe Piranha Bytes needs to scale back a little on their projects because ambition is only celebrated if it pays off or delivers something that hasn’t been experienced before.

Although Little Orpheus's platforming gets a bit repetitive, The Chinese Room Studio plays to its strength with a knack for interesting storytelling, and here we are presented with a funny and engaging story that features brilliant voice acting and a world with eye-cathing visuals and an excellent orchestral score.

The problem with Grid Legends isn't that it's bad, it is that it could've been way better as this team have proven with many of their titles through the years that they can achieve greatness time and time again. Every thing here is done in a way that feels only serviceable but with a little push here and a little trim there, the whole thing could've been so much more.

Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream keeps all the good parts of its predecessor while utilizing the some of the new ideas from the entries that have been released between the two adventures of Sophie while also tinkering with some of the old systems to make them more enjoyable. The story, which unlike most JRPGs thankfully doesn’t go the epic and blockbuster route, is told in a way that you feel compelled to unlock its mysteries.

At the core of Martha is Dead there is an acceptable and sometimes enjoyable psychological tale but nothing else in this package is worth writing home about.

The King of Fighters XV doesn’t try to use a lot of new ideas compared to the recent entries of the series and it is focused more on offering the best version of KoF possible and actually manages to be quite great with its only shortcoming being the story mode but it more than makes up for that with its accessible online modes and its flawless netcode.

Although it had the longest development time compared to other Empire spin-offs, Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires somehow feels like the one with lowest effort put in to be made. Its biggest problem is that on the strategic side there are now a bunch of titles that give a deeper experience to people looking for a Three Kingdoms era video game and sadly the action parts design is quite repetitive. The asking price also doesn’t seem fair considering what the final product actually offers.

Dying Light 2’s biggest problems stem from its world building and lack of compelling characters that occupy this world which is a big problem because revolutionizing the storytelling in video games was one the key points of the game’s promotions. On the other hand, the gameplay is full of fun and entertaining mechanics that can keep you playing for hours trying to utilize its many different mechanics in new and innovative ways.
