The game is well structured and definitely presents variety of choice on the activities to be done due to the open world component, although although there are many missions available, they are very repetitive in terms of gameplay. On the level of mechanics, it is very intuitive and one does not need to spend a lot of time learning how to play the game as best as possible. Graphically the game has strengths, but also weaknesses especially from the FPS point of view; the audio compartment, as also in previous titles of the DC brand, creates a perfect setting during the game. The possibility then to use four different characters in such a game is very interesting, considering that each of them has its own peculiarities, too bad for the little breadth from the point of view of weapon classes that would have given an extra boost to the different synergies that can be created between the characters.

HELLCARD is a very interesting deck building title. I must honestly say that I did not have high expectations for the title and instead was incredibly surprised. The title is fun and relatively easy to learn. If we then add the total Italian localization and the ease of running the game we have a combo for an excellent pastime. Definitely more than recommended for fans, but also for newbies to the genre like me.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: The Indigo Disc is the concluding chapter in the ninth generation of pocket monsters. Where the gameplay in this DLC seems to embrace fan demands for more challenging and difficult gameplay, the obvious technical problems, coupled with a truncated narrative at its end, do not represent the swan song of the title, which remains to date without a true twist ending.

The pace of play proposed by Soul Tolerance: Prologue seems, from the beginning, fluid and pressing in itself. The difficulty of the gameplay is rather moderate, there are no particular moments of stasis and blockage. The main story is pretty intuitive, despite all the plots. In general, the longevity of the title, evaluating only the first chapter, is rather decent with about eight hours expected. On the whole, I would still call it satisfactory, although not at the heights. It discreetly captures the player's attention without engaging them too much, while also allowing them to quickly familiarize themselves with the map. We are ready to welcome the conclusion of the entire videogame, in view of the potential investments necessary to feed the Piovesan project.

Naruto X Boruto Ultimate Ninja STORM CONNECTIONS is the richest installment in the tie-in series born from the genius of Masashi Kishimoto and CyberConnect2. At the expense of a narrative component that could certainly have been set up better, the title features dynamic and overwhelming gameplay. The technical improvements and free character customization are then greatly appreciated. A title that will undoubtedly succeed in rekindling the spirits of old Naruto Uzumaki fans, allowing them to relive the great emotions experienced with the animated TV series story.

UFC 5 presents itself to the public as one of the best games ever created for MMA fans. EA's choices to leave it only for next-gen have paid off. Extremely realistic graphics and a gameplay compartment faithful to real fights provide an enjoyable and fun experience to play. A treat for lovers of Mix Martial Art.

Modern Warfare III fits within the series' long list. It offers near-perfect gameplay, practically the pinnacle of the series. It stumbles, however, on almost everything else. The too-short storyline, the lack of concrete new features among the maps and ideas for new modes combined with a few too many technical wrinkles make this title a half-hearted misstep. It comes close to sufficiency thanks to its gameplay, but it is not enough to justify an outlay of 80 euros for a game that doesn't even have a name that is new.

A title with remarkable artistic direction, elegant, pleasant and capable of immersing us in Japanese culture. Unfortunately, the uncertainties of the gameplay lead the title toward the risk of being repetitive and, for some elements, unintuitive.

A title that for true gaming fans cannot miss in their library. It allows you to experience the emotions created by Hideo Kojima all wrapped up in a single collector. Perhaps the only flaw is that it passes a lot of the concept of a commercial operation but so many times you have to try to look at the more romantic side of things like the one created by the memories of players at the first Metal Gear Solid releases.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 looks like a true next-gen experience, taking full advantage of the PlayStation 5 hardware. A more mature and epic storyline than in the past, spectacular boss fights, and some minor gameplay improvements return a superlative experience to the user. Despite some technical glitches, Spider-man 2 establishes itself as one of the best superhero titles ever, and a candidate for GOTY 2023.

Cities Skylines 2 makes for a truly enjoyable city builder experience. The merit of its visual beauty and the excellent building and planning tools offered make it unique. It definitely needs to find some improvements in the technical aspect.

Assassin's Creed Mirage turns out to be a very welcome return to its roots. It suffers, however, from more than obvious technical problems. It is not so much a matter of bugs, since in this respect the title also performs well, but an overall care that is really too sloppy. For example, the good weapon feedback that Valhalla presented is completely gone in Mirage. The animations are then worse than in a great many other titles from Ubisoft itself. If we then add a cute storyline but nothing more the result is a barely decent title. We therefore recommend giving the title a try to die-hard fans of the saga; however, we cannot say that we were completely satisfied with Basim's adventures.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: The Turquoise Mask is the first phase of a deep and promising story. The narrative flourishes and Riben's possible role as an antagonist captivate the player in the narrative, prompting him to play The Indigo Disc as well. However, total immersion in the narrative is hampered by annoying technical problems and quick plot choices that are not at all overwhelming. In conclusion, The Turquoise Mask lays the foundation for a solid narrative, but beyond that it fails to boast who knows what merits. The quantity of Pokémon, quests, and explorable areas certainly outweighs the quality lent to the product. We therefore await the arrival of the second DLC, to draw conclusions about what Pokémon Scarlet and Violet has been.

Payday 3 represents the typical game in the making. Its future, and success, surely depends on the goals and improvements that Starbreezee will implement. The game offers fun gameplay, virtually endless replayability, and an outstanding soundtrack, however, at launch, the content is extremely limited and meager.

Since its announcement it has proved to be one of the most anticipated games of the year. It certainly did not disappoint, even with its flaws, which make it almost unique in the genre. Once again Bethesda creates a cult game that, looking at the other games released in 2023, can easily be a candidate for GOTY.

Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle is definitely a good indie title that tries to approach the industry's triple-As, but fails to hold its own in many respects. The game has great insights such as the Frost Grip or the level design, it falls down, however, on character movement and shooting. We largely recommend the title to those who liked the previous installment Daymare: 1998. On the other hand, we feel like recommending the title to fans of the survival horror genre only through the help of discounts.

Mortal Kombat 1 represents the highest point of the saga developed by NetherRealm. The story is worthy of an animated feature film, with a good cinematic level that manages to project the gamer inside a real movie. The gameplay is dynamic, fun with a combo system that has undergone a real modernization (although we are not yet faced with the work accomplished by Street Fighter 6), making them much more accessible and intuitable. Unfortunately, the sound compartment fails to keep up with the corresponding video group and, after the end of the story, you have little to do with the Invasions and Towers modes.

Sea of Stars is an indie title capable of entertaining gamers and keeping their attention at all times. This is thanks above all to a modernized and dynamic gameplay, but also to a varied game world, rich and endowed by one of the best pixel art in the video game scene. An indie title capable of attracting both veterans of the genre, but also newbies perhaps fearful of slow and boring gameplay. The ability to change characters at the various bonfires also gives the possibility to range and never get bored. An excellent job done by the Canadian software house Sabotage Studio, veterans of their successful The Messenger, they had the ability to renew a genre without disrespecting the classics of the past.

Atlas Fallen is a title that copies mechanics and ideas from other titles but does not shine in anything. The gameplay is particularly dull and unsatisfying, the plot uninvolving and lacking in basic mechanics for a 2023 title. Had it come out in 2010 as the developers' debut title it would have been nice as a cheap alternative to darksiders 1 (a title from which Atlas Fallen seems to borrow a lot) but in 2023 from developers who have good experience in this area anyway we expected significantly more.

In conclusion Magic: The Gathering Arena definitely earns the title of one of the best TCG games on the video game market. Since its release, it has seen a great growth, not only in the aspect of users, but also in the game making it not only a niche video game related to those who play Magic.
