80 / 100 - Calico
Jan 18, 2021

Calico's great appeal is not its mechanics or playability, but the sensations and emotions it manages to convey. The tasks and objectives to fulfill are only an addition to the main course of the game, which is to explore and modify elements to our liking. You have some problems in the handling of the protagonist and maybe it can get to bore those who look for games with a good history mode, but it is a very recommended purchase for those who want to relax without more.

65 / 100 - Startup Panic
Jan 15, 2021

Startup Panic is a good game, inherited from the Game Dev Story/Tycoon, which adds some interesting elements to the equation. An interface too focused on mobiles and not very usable in many cases, a horrendous translation and a playable loop, in my opinion, not very coherent with the theme, tarnish a game that, on the other hand, will please those who liked the two games mentioned above, since, after all, it is more of the same.

60 / 100 - Soul Searching
Jan 14, 2021

Soul Searching has good music that fits the stage well. The simplicity of the game mechanics stands out. It conveys well a feeling of loneliness on a trip, although negativism becomes repetitive in the game. Controlling the paddle of the raft is annoying and does not encourage excessive play.

Jan 13, 2021

A rather strange experiment that sometimes works and sometimes doesn't, but always leaves us with the feeling of being faced with a unique game both in its mechanics and in its own world. Perhaps it can become repetitive, but it manages to attract and leave us wanting more.

The curious experiment of A HERO AND A GARDEN unfortunately fails and is boring. A part of me wishes it had become a visual novel with different dialogue options instead of just sitting on a screen for minutes picking fruit. Aesthetically it's very nice, though.

Sense: A Cyberpunk Ghost Story is a Clock Tower-style 2D horror adventure. Without great fanfare, we are presented with a correct game in a controversial package -cyberpunk, sexualization- that seems to capture the attention of the public more than that of the playable core of the title. If you like this type of 2D horror games, and you are curious about how Cantonese folklore has been used in this regard, you can give it a try, but if you are looking for a cyberpunk adventure, this is not your game.

70 / 100 - Paw Paw Paw
Jan 7, 2021

Paw Paw Paw is a beat'em up, long, lasting, varied and loaded with content. Some problems in its gameplay and its mechanics can frustrate us more than amuse us, but the fact of leveling up the characters and equipping us with new weapons is addicting.

Alba: I have loved Wildlife Adventure at all levels: gameplay, story, characters ... A game that transports us to a time when things were simpler, but which in turn teaches us some important lessons.

70 / 100 - Castle Pals
Jan 6, 2021

Castle Pals is not the best of its kind, but it will ensure a good time hooked on the controls until it is completed, although it is very short: in a couple of hours you will have squeezed it.

55 / 100 - Micetopia
Jan 5, 2021

Micetopia offers a mixed result, in which we see how good ideas and intentions are mixed with a long list of design flaws that lead to a game that could have given much more of itself. It has an adequate duration for what this type of game usually offers, but its repetitiveness ends up taking its toll.

60 / 100 - Freddy Spaghetti
Jan 4, 2021

Freddy searches for his place in the world in an adventure of exploration, skill and even with a narrative touch. It's not a very long proposal, nor too complex, but it's curious enough to deserve a look... and to have a little patience in Freddy's curious handling. But should a piece of pasta with its own conscience be handled like other protagonists? One of the most atypical 'heroes' in the world, whatever I say.

Morbid: The Seven Acolytes offers a fairly positive overall result that is clouded by some nonsense such as an excessively beginner, almost browser-game aspect, in terms of texts and menus, and some levels a bit more confusing than necessary. Beyond those, good setting, good story, good mechanics. It's worth giving it a try.

The sequel to Override offers us a greater number of mechs, settings and game modes, but changes its gameplay to make it more arcade and accessible compared to the slower and more tactical gameplay of the first installment, which may be a disappointment for some. The game modes are insufficient and more could have been added, but the League mode is especially entertaining and will give us a good amount of hours.

Journey of the Broken Circle has a nice and deep story with existential values. Amazing images. Very well constructed surreal characters. It has an unstable gameplay with highs and lows and the story trying to be deep falls into somewhat childish clichés.

COLLECTION of SaGa FINAL FANTASY LEGEND gives us the first three deliveries of the little-known SaGa franchise published on Game Boy between 89 and 91. Using the name of Final Fantasy Legend in the U.S. market as a hook, they achieved relative success despite having little or nothing to do with the star franchise of Square. With some very peculiar mechanics and a high difficulty, they are not JRPGs for beginners, and they can be made hard for the current player, but those who know and follow the franchise will find an unbeatable way to know or remember their beginnings with this compilation. The options are correct, but there are a few more extras missing.

Fatal Fury: First Contact adapts Real Bout Fatal Fury 2: The Newcomers quite acceptably, although with certain cuts that end up taking their toll on SNK's game. We lose the fight on a different plane, the gameplay is simplified, and the game loses speed and frenzy, which together with its null content beyond VS mode, make this Fatal Fury a somewhat weak delivery compared to other of the juices of Neo Geo Pocket appeared on Nintendo Switch. Even so, it is worth taking a look knowing its shortcomings, after all it is the only Fatal Fury that the system had.

80 / 100 - Phogs!
Dec 28, 2020

PHOGS! I liked it. It's an eminently cooperative game, with good ideas, dream worlds, physics-based puzzles and two dogs in one. If I don't convince you with this, I don't think anything can do it.

65 / 100 - Godfall
Dec 24, 2020

Godfall is not a bad game. If it were the basis for a game-service that was gradually expanding, it could probably be said that it is a remarkable basis. But it is a complete game, the expansions of which will be paid, and as a complete game, it lacks content in abundance, artificially increasing the hours through an absurd search for lootables for repetitive and generic scenarios. The combat, yes, although it has flaws, it is fun, and if we like the proposal, we can enjoy it.

Potata: Fairy Flower has a pleasant artistic style, good physics and control although regular attack. Correct platforms somewhat challenging but without excess, which tries to touch many clubs, but does not stand out in any. Excess text that leads nowhere, Little exploited adventure elements. Little logical puzzles and shoehorn. Large phases but that go from left to right without more. Performance somewhat slow in portable mode.

This is a tough simulator, which as such, we understand that it does not have to be fun in some cases. But even so, it needs more to make us feel that we are in the skin of a member of a fire department
