Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin is a game that masterfully combines the management of a farm and the cultivation of rice, with 2D areas with hack'n slash mechanics where we will fight with dozens of demons while obtaining resources for the farm. An endearing story awaits us with very well written characters and a fairly interesting representation of Japanese rural culture and its associated mythology. With this cover letter you have to give it a go.

I think we should be grateful for such an openly classic graphic adventure, in its concept and development, with healthy humor in its argument and aesthetics. Its focus is very directed to players with a certain callousness and age in this genre, but it is also important to note that it will not be complicated for someone without baggage in these lines can manage, although it will be necessary to have a little patience with their traditional way of doing things.

70 / 100 - Wonder Blade
Dec 9, 2020

Wonder Blade is to Castle Crashers what Fighter's History is to Street Fighter, a highly "inspired" game. Beyond the moral issue of this situation, Wonder Blade offers us a brawler with RPG elements and some levels with different mechanics that bring variety to the whole. A punk game, as the title from which it is "inspired", that beyond some mismatches in the difficulty, and the poor presentation of the current versions, offers a quite safisfactory experience, especially if we have not played Castle Crashers.

Chronos: Before the Ashes presents us with a traditional version of Chronos VR, which in turn is a prequel to Remnant: From the ashes. This time the gameplay becomes a simple and friendly souls-like with which it is easy to get started in the genre. He fails in the design of levels, in their duration and in some technical problems, but he knows how to make up for it with good puzzles and exploration.

70 / 100 - EQQO
Dec 7, 2020

In EQQO we are facing a mainly narrative adventure, which will take us about four hours. It is a very pleasant experience visually and soundly. It presents a moving and introspective story with the originality of being based on a little explored mythology such as that of Ethiopia. The experience is ruined by the abrupt and dizzying camera system that makes it difficult to control and progress and takes away the immersion of the game.

Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 is one of the puzzle games with the most content of the generation, with a multitude of game modes and configurations to adapt the experience to our liking. The story mode and the battle of feats take center stage in this installment, being very durable and addictive modes. An essential without a doubt.

85 / 100 - The Pathless
Dec 4, 2020

The pathless offers us a huge open world, full of nuances and beautiful landscapes through which we will move at full speed. With ideas taken slightly from Breath of the Wild, we will have a good amount of challenges and intense fights that we will love. Special mention to Austin Wintory's soundtrack and great voice performances. Highly recommended.

100 / 100 - ORD.

More words, less words... but much less, Andres Calamaro would be proud... or not.

Undead Darlings ~don't cure for love~ is an interesting proposal that merges novel visual mechanics with its decision making, dungeon crawler and dungeon exploration, and turn-based fighting in the purest RPG style. A combination that works pushed by a crazy story that without big shows will keep our attention enough to reach one of its 9 possible endings. If you like his proposal, give him a chance.

70 / 100 - Even the Ocean
Dec 2, 2020

Even the Ocean offers in its adventure to help our world a mix between platforms, puzzles and narrative adventure. The mix works and is also supported by beautiful 2D graphics and sound work, to remind us of past times, in a game with a clear current touch. It does not fly to great heights but it does get a very decent and worthy of attention, as well as fun in its approach, which could have been a little more out of it.

Dragon Quest XI is a game of 10, without discussion. But with Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of a Lost Past - Definitive Edition, Square Enix has gotten itself into a bind of laziness when it comes to generating a definitive title of truth. An unexplainable graphic cut-out that weighs down what should be one of the games of the generation.

Root Double -Before Crime * After Days- Xtend Edition is a quite complete visual novel, well written and with charismatic characters that during more than 50 hours will make us discover the events around a nuclear disaster in a research facility and the secrets behind them. 40 possible endings and the Senses Sympathy System give the game a new dimension within its genre.

Bluepoint once again offers us another impressive remake, perhaps its most ambitious proposal yet. With spectacular graphics, and the typical gameplay of the saga, perhaps it is missed a little that it has not tried to go beyond the original. Even so, an unmissable work that alone can justify the purchase of a PlayStation 5.

80 / 100 - Empire of Sin
Nov 30, 2020

Empire of Sin offers a long and varied game that mixes management, strategy and tactical role with great success. With the 1920s and prohibition as a scenario, Romero games allows us to create our criminal empire in a fairly simple and addictive game, but at the same time deep in its gameplay and mechanics.

Serious Sam Collection appears by surprise on consoles as a compilation of Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter, Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter, Serious Sam 3: BFE, plus two expansions. Honestly, several installments are missing to be considered a compilation to match, but even so, with the installments included, the content is quite extensive and serves as a starting point for anyone who wants to get started in this classic franchise, or for those who already know it and let yourself be carried away by nostalgia.

100 / 100 - Half-Life: Alyx
Nov 26, 2020

An absolute masterpiece, Valve returns to the saga that made it famous with a game that offers totally original elements, fully integrated into the main canon and with a level of detail and interaction between objects rarely seen in any game. A virtual reality system is worth purchasing for this game alone.

Another year, another Call of Duty. And the first of the new generation of consoles. We return to a spectacular and vibrant campaign with grateful adventure additions, along with a solid, direct and full multiplayer, full of game modes and content that will increase as the 'season' passes. Hours and more hours in front of the screen to which the insertion of Wargame within the same game is added to make the multiplayer experience more complete.

Sackboy: A Big Adventure is a great adventure game. With some really charismatic supporting characters, and very varied levels, it is a totally recommended game if we are fans of this type of proposal, rounded off by some excellent graphic and sound sections.

Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory is a musical and rhythm game that serves as a reminder of the saga, and as a tribute to the great Yōko Shimomura, composer of most of the songs. With an easy gameplay to assimilate, the title comes loaded with content, although this can be a bit irregular due to the nature of some themes, which lend themselves little to a rhythm game. Regardless, any fan of the franchise should enjoy this musical tribute to the saga of Sora and his friends.

No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle visits Nintendo Switch with a set-up similar to that of the first part. Everything we said for No More Heroes is applicable here, from its charisma and point of madness, to its powerful staging. Although the news passes only through the adaptation of the control and the visual update, it is still the best - and only - way to return to Santa Destroy in search of revenge and to prepare for the long-awaited third installment of No More Heroes.
