Simulation and management games are never simple and intuitive and often the gaming experience improves with knowledge of the same. In this case, in Startopia, by combining more fields - economic management and RTS - the difficulty increases, but also the enjoyment of the game itself. With the graphic and sound aspect, which are really detailed and cared for and a detailed and fun setting, the result is a satisfying game from many points of view. Although the descriptions are really numerous and accurate, I would undoubtedly improve the explanations of the missions or add a summary of the resources or production methods to the main menu, even if only for those who want to waste time reading all the curiosities. Absolutely useful for those who, like me, have no idea what to do or how to do it. Therefore, Spacebase Startopia is absolutely worth playing. Lose yourself in the clubs and kitten cafes, clear the bridge of uncivilized alien waste and fight crime with advanced space technology! And let's hope that, for once, VAL changes its mind about the forms of carbon!

Endzone - A World Apart has turned out to be a rich and articulated management game, but one that risks filling a bit in the long run, especially when the community that the player carries on his shoulders will acquire a certain weight. Despite this, the challenge offered by the game turns out to be decidedly satisfying despite its not indifferent punishment, making it a must for all fans who’re looking for a considerable challenge in this genre.

Unlike previous versions, Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee New'n'Tasty arrives on Switch with a few graphic stumbles, sacrificing some aspects from a visual point of view. For those who haven’t yet had the pleasure of taking part in this great escape in the role of the nice Abe this version remains a good edition albeit with some compromises that manages to entertain especially thanks to the possibility of using it portable.

Black Legend is a game with interesting ambitions. The gameplay is well structured in the fights, the dark atmosphere of the lost city in a mad alchemy of madness and violence is well executed in some respects (such as the voice acting and one of the side quests) and also some of the themes raised by the discovery of the origins of the fog are of good depth. Unfortunately, the many technical shortcomings don’t allow you to enjoy the game without being distracted by the aforementioned discordant notes but, if you are a fan of tactical RPGs, give it a try. Grant's misty streets could be worth the ticket price, especially in sight of patch improvements.

Lost Words: Beyond the Page is a beautiful and moving interactive story that I highly recommend to anyone who appreciates titles that leave something behind after playing them and that manage to convey feelings and emotions even with simple gameplay, which nevertheless proves damn effective for that the developers wanted to achieve. If you are looking for a high level of challenge you certainly won’t be satisfied by this production, which is by choice accessible and comforting, also suitable for children while dealing with very mature topics and themes.

A challenge for the most hyperactive of you who will find the story a little slow but certainly very interesting. The graphic level after all is not too bad especially if we consider that the setting recalls a steampunk style that is always beautiful and makes us postpone some lack. The audio is a little bit strange, with the sporadic feeling of being followed by someone that in reality it’s your own step, but there’s the very well-chosen music that accompanies us and this is very appreciated. The game isn’t free from some bugs that even if disabling don’t fatally compromise the outcome of the adventure which is full of check points that will make us solve a possible programming problem. Paradise Lost is a little adventure to enjoy in a couple of alternative afternoons, although I regret a little that it could have been something more.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time is an excellent free update for those who already owned the old-gen version of the title, with improved framerate and resolution and considering the low price it’s also the perfect opportunity to buy it for those who had only the next-gen consoles and hasn't had a chance to try the game on PS4 or Xbox One. The difficulty in classic mode is really hard and will give even the most experienced players a hard time while the modern one, with checkpoints, is suitable for all types of players and the amount of hours of fun guaranteed by this new chapter of Crash Bandicoot, between main and secondary levels, is really high.

Samurai Shodown maintains its identity, even after many years, while supporting the evolution of the video game market. Fans will be able to meet their favorite fighters with better graphics to increase the enjoyment of the game and also benefit from new special attacks, each always reflecting the characteristics of the characters. Neither the story of the game nor the plots of the characters are deepened, as happens for example in other titles such as Mortal Kombat, the dynamics of the game in this one remain much more similar to other types of fighting games, such as Tekken. There are no advancement bonuses provided for the playing time of the characters, nor items that can be unlocked or purchased to increase the level or attack power of the characters. But there are numerous game variations and modes: Survival, Timed, Versus and Online. On the other hand, the innovative advanced learning technology and the improvements made to the graphics unlock a whole new sector of the game that greatly increases longevity and fun by adapting to the characteristics of the player.

Sir Lovelot is a game that I recommend, especially considering its low price and definitely in line with the content offered. Sir Lovelot requires attention, patience, sensory memory and reflexes, rewarding the player with a few hours of fun seasoned with a slight humorous aura. A title suitable for anyone who wants to try to get closer to the genre without jumping directly into that slaughterhouse, literally, which may be Super Meat Boy, but which perhaps will not be able to satisfy those who already come from those peaks that are unattainable for me now.

The Blizzard Arcade Collection is a very valid work from different points of view especially for the work done by the developers who haven’t limited themselves to simply re-proposing the basic versions of the games but who have added several possibilities with the final versions but also with a lot of accompanying contents to show users the history and life of the company from the 90s to today. In short, this collection is a very good work if you want to recover the history of videogames and go deeper into titles that characterize it.

Mighty Fight Federation is a game that, despite its many criticalities, could be fun and rewarding if lived with a casual spirit, without too many pretensions. The problem is that in a videogame market like the current one you have to stand out from the crowd so as not to be terribly overwhelmed, and unfortunately the game in question lacks that necessary charisma. An enjoyable game but of which very little remains imprinted in the hearts of the players who approach it, demonstrating that riding the success of a genre doesn’t ensure the success of your product if you’re unable to have a hold on the public thanks to your game’s appeal.

Gensou Skydrift isn’t a good game. The ideas of interchangeable witches and the shooting of the cards with their respective powers to use in the competition are appreciable, but beyond that I didn’t feel particularly involved in the game. An enjoyable and fun work just that little bit, but perhaps with some refinement of the plot and gameplay, or the addition of some more particular competition also for the purposes of the plot itself, it would have had more effect. A little bit enjoyable and fun title, but perhaps with some refinement of the plot and gameplay, or the addition of some more particular competition also for the purposes of the plot itself, it would have had more effect. After all the tracks are very linear with only the circles of magic and the drift to perform, you could say that even just the races levels of Crash Bandicoot 3 are much more engaging and full of interesting obstacles.

The definitive version of Two Point Hospital, entitled Jumbo Edition, arrives on console and does it in the best way with many hours of play thanks to both the main campaign and the four additional packages included, namely Bigfoot, Pebberley Island, Close Encounters and Long Live the environment that bring several more hours between new hospitals, diseases and unprecedented machinery and settings that range from winter locations to tropical places. The title is certainly one of the best management games in circulation which remains recommended for all lovers of the genre but also for those who want to approach these types of productions.

Harvest Moon: One World tries to keep the classic basics of the series by adding some important innovations such as the ability to move your farm, giving much more importance to exploration, and streamlining some farming mechanics, making the game faster in some situations. What doesn’t fully convince is the graphic and technical side of the title which at times is bare and uninvolving in its settings, with the team that could have implemented a few more details in the different areas to explore.

With Sea of Solitude we still discover today, two years after its release, an incredibly mature work from every point of view, graphic, thematic and also in terms of gameplay. The experience touches the perfection of the genre with an evocative glance, a soundtrack practically without defects and an atmosphere that is sewn onto the player making him breathe deeply all the air of a sea that is perceived so much calm and vast, as much as inhabited by creatures that perhaps we should let sleep. In Sea of Solitude there is everything: introspection, the focus on the character and on us, the openness and pleasure of travel. If during our journey we are then called to face our own monsters we will have the courage to do so: in this experience we are Light, Darkness, Sea and the same monsters. We have everything we need and on this tour we have all been kindly offered through one of the best video games of the genre, to be suggested instead of a book.

Monster Energy Supercross - The Official Videogame 4 is a title that will make all fans of the genre happy and still proves to be a good game even for those who want to approach this motorcycle discipline only now, as long as they have the patience to learn the fundamentals of motocross losing many of the first races and struggling a lot, considering the steep learning curve and an excellent AI that certainly does not facilitate easy victories for beginners. A title that doesn’t make significant progress in the franchise, considering the cross-gen nature of the production but which is confirmed on good levels and which certainly deserves to be recommended to those who want an excellent amount of content and that makes good use of the official licenses available with official tracks and motorbikes and an impressive amount of personalization of the riders' uniforms and of the motorcycle components.

In short, playing Dry Drowning is a pleasure from all points of view: from the purely playful side, the title of Studio v proposes a visual novel formula with shades of Noir and Thriller perfectly amalgamated into a narrative that fascinates from the first moment, accompanied by an artistic sector that is simply amusing, while from the most introspective and mentally stimulating part, the game offers settings that seem to cling to us in a vice of raw realism cloaked in a dystopia that moves away from us but not too much: within these the characters and our consciences move together with theirs. Nova Polemos is truly an exasperated version of our cities, and the dilemmas that Mordred foley faces are, under a terribly human magnifying glass, the same ones we are subjected every day. Society, morals, interest are the bonds that we must bring into life as in Dry Drowning. Under the aegis of which of these will we take our steps within one of the most interesting games of recent years? And in our lives?

Monster Jam Steel Titans 2 is in all respects a great expansion of the first chapter, with new tracks, new stadiums and vehicles but with few differences from its predecessor. A game that remains appreciated by lovers of the genre and fans of monster trucks, and which may deserve an opportunity even given the budget price at which it’s sold since launch. We aren’t facing a masterpiece or an unmissable car game, but it’s a title that, even considering the practically non-existent competition regarding video games dedicated to these steel giants, will certainly be able to satisfy fans of this sport.

Persona 5 Strikers brings the Phantom Thieves back to the fore after the adventures of Persona 5 and Persona 5 Royal by binding to these titles in some respects by replicating the narrative and RPG components but breaking away decisively by introducing the musou component, with the Omega Force team that managed to create a game that was definitely up to the task. Obviously the title is highly recommended to all those who have appreciated and devoured the aforementioned titles with the possibility of varying even in terms of gameplay but with the same narrative depth.

The Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav is an excellent graphic adventure, which we would like to recommend both to novices of the genre and to those who are experienced in this type of games. A game that considering its nature it’s not affected by the passing of the years and indeed is definitely in line with the most recent productions of this genre and which presents a well-written and scripted plot and a dozen hours of puzzles and funny gags between the two protagonists and which can also be appreciated with a joypad in hand and not only in its PC version with mouse and keyboard.
