Out of the Park Baseball 26 is once again a more than complete experience for MLB and management fans. The title continues to refine without changing a formula that works. From now on, I hope the franchise can continue its evolution by increasing its accessibility. Offered only in English and with a user interface that's sometimes messy, it's not easy to attract players. It remains to be seen whether these aspects will be improved in the future.

After a disappointing opus in 2022, PGA Tour 2K25 marks the return of the franchise with several improvements. Gameplay has been completely overhauled to offer a far more satisfying experience. And the integration of virtual currency is much more logical than before. However, the number of courses, the game modes and the immersion of the career mode now lack a little more depth. The current base is nevertheless of good quality, and the HB Studio team is on the right track.

Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition is a generous reissue that proves that not all remasters are created equal. The developers have made numerous improvements that fully justify this re-launch, and the result is impressive. Admittedly, a few minor flaws remain, such as the impossibility of accepting several agreement missions at once, but this remains a minor inconvenience. In short, whether it's a first discovery or a return, like me, the investment is definitely worth it.

Assassin's Creed Shadows had big shoes to fill. Valhalla had disappointed on several counts and divided the community in two. Those who preferred the old direction of the franchise and those who loved the RPG side. It's almost impossible to satisfy both, but this new adventure comes close. Whether it's the addition of the informant system and lair construction, or the far fewer collectables, the title should appeal to a large majority.

Monster Hunter Wilds doesn't revolutionize the series. In fact, it takes what it does best and makes it more accessible. Battles are fun, and so are encounters. Getting support, whether from strangers, friends or NPCs, has never been easier. Despite all this, the game suffers from problems that don't place it among the best in the franchise. The game is much shorter than we're used to, and sound problems are recurrent. But that doesn't stop me from having a lot of fun with Monster Hunter Wilds. And so should you. It's hunting time!

Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawai is, for me, what an alternative adventure in a major franchise should be like. As well as being linked to the franchise, you're plunged into the story without even questioning what exactly you're doing. The idea of using Goro Majima as the protagonist allows players to quickly become attached to him, but also to assume this zany side. Despite some repetition in terms of gameplay and activities, the title can satisfy old and new players alike. In fact, it's a good opus for those who've never played a Yakuza before. The shorter lifespan is also a good way of attracting another community. However, don't expect a game that reinvents the concept developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio!

As with previous releases, Sid Meier's Civilization VII is clearly not going to meet with unanimous approval. Although it adds several new features that were previously DLC, the title profoundly changes the series' mechanics. The developers have opted for a different division in games, with a better balance of technologies. As a result, just because you dominate an Age doesn't necessarily mean you'll win the game. An aspect which may disappoint franchise regulars, but which offers greater accessibility. However, there is still work to be done. The interface needs to be revamped, while the tutorial portion is clearly not sufficient for someone who has never played the license. Not to mention the fact that the game will have to balance itself out as updates are made.

For those who enjoy narrative adventure games that are fairly relaxed in their gameplay, this one comes highly recommended. Played as an interactive story, even casual gamers will be able to find their way around without a care. The story strikes a chord with me in terms of storytelling. It's about friendship, while the teenage girls are still searching for themselves. Their actions have consequences that we're just beginning to see in this first chapter of Lost Records: Bloom & Rage.

Avowed offers the perfect balance I'm looking for between freedom and narrative cohesion to keep me invested in the adventure. The story is excellent, the choices are important and the gameplay is a key part of the fun. There's no doubt in my mind that RPG fans will find pleasure in exploring Eora and discovering all its mysteries.

Ambulance Life: A Paramedic Simulator offers a rather complete experience for those wishing to discover a little more about the profession. Accidents are varied, while the fictional city offers realistic environments. However, routine quickly sets in, despite the integration of large-scale events. The experience system requires you to complete a series of missions with no real objective behind them in order to access all the content. Not to mention the fact that, for the time being, technical problems prevent us from enjoying a fluid experience. It's hard to recommend the game in its current state. Nonetheless, I hope the developers come up with fixes and new content soon. Something they have already demonstrated on their previous production.

As a spin-off, Sniper Elite: Resistance bears a strong resemblance to the franchise's last main opus. As a result, series regulars are unlikely to feel the same excitement as new players. Especially as the main campaign is rather short and the multiplayer modes will not appeal to everyone. While it's still just as satisfying to pull off precision shots, the rigid gameplay of close-quarters combat is starting to show its age. It's hard, therefore, to fall completely in love with the game, even if I'm convinced that a portion of the community will appreciate it.

What Eternal Strands does well, it does really well! The boss battles are highly enjoyable, and deserve to be considered for their own sake. The world is also very well constructed. And what can I say about the soundtrack! However, a little repetitiveness, a lack of rhythm, frustrating deaths and a few minor performance problems mean that the game doesn't reach as high a level as we'd hoped. But let's make no mistake, this is a great achievement for a first game. We'll have to keep an eye on Yellow Brick Games, because they've definitely got a lot of talent!

Donkey Kong Country Returns HD is still a great 2D platformer in 2025. Do I recommend it at the current price? No, because I think it's a bit steep to pay full price, especially if you've played it before. This is the ultimate version of the game, and the one I'd recommend in any collector's bookshop, despite the lack of novelty. Even so, the reissue work carried out by the developer is notable and well done. In short, it's up to you to decide whether or not to add this to your console.

Farming Simulator 25 is a logical continuation of the franchise. This opus offers improved visual management, new crops, animals and two new maps. With its GPS system, the series takes a big step towards accessibility, and tasks on our farm are much less tedious. Nevertheless, this edition doesn't reinvent the wheel, and series regulars may even feel that some new features are missing. Not to mention the fact that, even at the time of writing, there are still plenty of technical problems to contend with. The game remains a benchmark in the field, but may not be the revolution some players were expecting.

Metal Slug Tactics doesn't reinvent the strategy game genre. In fact, if there's one criticism to be made, it's this lack of innovation. But does that make it a bad game? Absolutely not! What it does, it does well. The developers respect the very essence of the series and its story. Returning to the heroes we know and their abilities is a real pleasure. Humor, though discreet, is always present. For Metal Slug fans, this is a definite “yes”. For fans of strategy games, it's also a title worth discovering. In short, Metal Slug Tactics has something for everyone.

My discovery of Karate Survivor began with a simple demo, only to be followed by enormous enjoyment of the final version. Available at a low price, the title manages to stand out considerably from other games in the genre. Fans of these experiences can enjoy complete immersion in the action films of the 80s. While there may be a few frustrations regarding the accuracy of our shots, the developers are already making regular corrections at the time of writing. Rather short for regular players, the experience remains more than fun and should appeal to a good number of gamers.

LEGO Horizon Adventures offers a short experience of just over 7 hours, as well as access for younger players to the main franchise. With its difficulty levels, the title also offers a good challenge to players who can immerse themselves in this universe designed with small bricks. Without reinventing the genre, the game can clearly convince a portion of the community, even if the experience itself remains rather repetitive. All in all, a good adventure for the curious and those who have always loved LEGO games.

God of War Ragnarök on PC, like the first, is a masterpiece of balance between narrative, gameplay and aesthetics. Every element is crafted to deliver a complete experience. Whether it's combat, character development or the exploration of a vast, detailed world. Although the repetitiveness of certain battles is deplorable, the difficulty is measured, and every confrontation is an epic skirmish. The lack of clarity and conciseness in the gameplay and narrative may detract a little from the experience, but it doesn't detract from the overall quality of the game.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is without doubt the most complete opus in recent years. The campaign mode is deeper, with more varied and longer missions. Multiplayer takes on a new meaning with omnimotion, while the return of waves in zombie mode should delight the community. Not to mention that, from a visual standpoint, the title remains one of the most beautiful first-person shooters on the market. All that's left to do now is a little balancing, and perhaps a maximum number of players in all game modes, for a near-perfect opus.

Neva slips into my top10 of 2024. Sublime and gripping at the same time, Devolver's latest offering takes us on an emotional journey. We become attached to the main characters. Also, as mentioned, the game takes on the airs of Ori and certain metroidvania. I recommend it, even at full price. You can complete the title in just a few hours, or around five to seven hours of play.
