Imperiums: Greek Wars has the potential to become the next successful turn-based strategy game. With its historical setting, it fills a little-used topic, and with its possibilities and complexity, it will delight a wide range of players (not only turn-based) strategies, and perhaps also, as is often the case with games, inspire interest in the Greek, and therefore the ancient world in general.

8 / 10.0 - Fury Unleashed
Feb 9, 2021

Fury Unleashed is a very enjoyable game that entertains, torments, but at the same time ends as quickly as it began. However, this is really a very good action 2D platformer that will find its place among players. In addition, the developers are very active and communicate with the community about new game modes and expansions.

8 / 10.0 - HROT
Feb 8, 2021

HROT is a successful retro shooter with classic gameplay and strong Czechoslovak nostalgia. A single developer, Spytihnev, is working on the game. The early access content so far has convinced me of the quality of the game. But if you don't know the facts (like most of the foreign audience), it might mean a point down. In terms of gameplay, there's nothing here that you haven't seen elsewhere.

Gibbous - A Cthulhu Adventure is a nice and easy adventure where a lot of emphasis is placed on the story. You will go through a large number of interviews. If you're an undemanding gamer who doesn't mind these "stories", you can't go wrong with this title. On the contrary, players of more action genres may suffer in places. Even so, Gibbous is worth trying and preparing the field for the sequel, because the ending is open.

9 / 10.0 - Othercide
Feb 4, 2021

Some players will love this mix of Xcom and classic Souls games, others will hate it. Othercide is definitely not for impatient players looking for quick, easy action. However, if you prefer self-torture, this is the game for you. Visually interesting, attractive and unique graphics, an absolutely great soundtrack, the loss of the last nerves, a ruthless turn strategy and, above all, a real challenge. Othercide offers all this and much more at an affordable price. The developers from Lightbulb Crew hit the nail on the head this time.

8 / 10.0 - Partisans 1941
Feb 2, 2021

You might be put off by the higher price of €30, but if I'm honest, it's adequate in this case. The developers at Alter Games have made a great title that they care about.

Maybe the developers took too big a bite and it backfired. The overall elaboration of the facial expressions of the characters was not very successful. The characters look stiff and artificial. It's a shame because the first episode set the bar really high. Maybe that's why we expected something more. The story is also not very interesting and engaging. If we didn't compare the game to number one, it would be an average adventure game and the rating would probably be a little higher. Let's see how the developers fight with the last part. Due to the end of this part, we can already assume what will happen in the big finale of the trilogy. However, The Uncertain: Light At The End is still a good title despite all that.

9 / 10.0 - The Pedestrian
Jan 29, 2021

The Pedestrian is a cute puzzle game like no other. It excels in several ways, be it the visuals or just the idea of the game itself. The only downside for me is the length, but it's up to each of you to decide how long you want to deal with the tricky puzzles. I myself enjoyed this game a lot, although I have to admit to the occasional twitch of nerves from being stuck for a long period of time in a complete mess.

8 / 10.0 - Cat Quest II
Jan 28, 2021

This cute pun is a must for all cat and dog lovers. You'll enjoy it twice as much in co-op, but even as a lone wolf you won't regret it. It's exactly the kind of game where you think "I'll finish one more dungeon and turn it off," and suddenly it's three in the morning. Beautiful colorful environment, constant action, full of quests and the excitement of a bitter fight is complemented by pleasant music. Two cute playable characters that you can switch between at any time are the biggest plus. Cat Quest II definitely did well for the developers at The Gentlebros, even if it doesn't differ much from the first one.

Developers from Respawn Entertainment resemble a dog and a cat - they borrowed individual ingredients from established game brands and baked them into a cake in the form of gameplay of their new title. Unlike the animal twin from Čapka's fairy tales, you won't have a stomach ache after consuming it, because the mix of fights, platforming and puzzles here works perfectly. After a weak introduction, the successful gameplay is joined by an equally successful story with characters whose fate you will care about, set in attractive settings. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order doesn't need a lot of innovation to be a great action-adventure and one of the best Star Wars games in years.

With a different developer, Earth Defense Force: Iron Rain brings a lot of new elements to the series that can revive or break a certain nostalgia and familiar style of its veteran fans. Still, it's still a fun EDF-esque game and a great way for newbies to get their first taste of Earth Defense Force.

This title surprised me, even exceeded my expectations. The developers of the Russian studio New Game Order have done a really good job despite the smaller number of their team. The Uncertain: Last Quiet Day has its flaws, but they are tolerable given the length of the title. A pearl at the end... this is only the first part of a trilogy, so you won't get any ending. The game cuts you nicely in the most interesting part. Toward the end of 2020, the second part called The Uncertain: Light at the End was released, and we will have to wait a little longer for the finale.

Personally, I think there's still a lot of room in the space opera genre for something we'll all fondly remember, like games like Mass Effect used to. Unfortunately, Starpoint Gemini 3 isn't quite what it seems. It's a nice simulation at times, but a bad RPG with a subpar story. And most of all, it's kind of empty. Strangely empty even for the vast universe.

7 / 10.0 - Eternal Edge
Jan 21, 2021

If you've ever wanted to play Zelda but don't own a Nintendo, or just love the genre, I can recommend Eternal Edge+. Don't expect any tough battles or nerve-wracking events, Eternal Edge+ is a relaxing game that can keep you entertained for a very long time. I'm not a fan of this genre, I'm more of a person who plays games like Gothic, Dark Souls, etc... and that's why I was surprised how this game attracted me to the advantages it has. I was skeptical at first, but the more I immersed myself in the game itself, the more I started to enjoy it. And if you play, for example, the Doom Eternal soundtrack during the fights, the game takes on a different quality. You can buy the game on Steam in Early Access for just under €13.

7 / 10.0 - Cyberpunk 2077
Jan 20, 2021

Cyberpunk 2077 fails as a role playing game, although living in the cynical Night City is an impressive experience. The choices you make carry minimal weight. The characters are not distinctive. On the other hand, Night City is an incredibly beautiful and complex open world that almost cannot bear comparison. As an action game, Cyberpunk 2077 has its faults, but the combat experience is engrossing and multifaceted. In general, it is a very good game, which is a shame to let it lie idle, although perhaps it is better to wait for patches until spring. Defying Mike Pondsmith, Cyberpunk 2077 would be a marvel.

8 / 10.0 - My Memory of Us
Jan 17, 2021

It is a very cool piece, which at first glance is slightly deceiving with its innocent appearance. The difficulty of logic riddles and puzzles is balanced, so solving them will not take you long. In terms of graphics, the game looks great and the overall atmosphere will force you to fully relate to the characters. What needs to be highlighted is the story itself showing the strong bond between the two characters persisting through all the hardships and dangers. The finale is so emotionally charged that you simply have to burst into tears. My Memory of Us is a shorter title that you can get through in one afternoon, it's definitely worth the time.

Wolfenstein: The Old Blood is not a game you invest hundreds of hours into. This is a title that brings a guarantee of good action, shooting and fun temporarily. And when you finish it a few times, will you find all the collectibles and replay the old levels? I think you will certainly not regret the time and money invested. Wolfenstein has been with us for over 20 years. During that time, he's built up quite a following, and titles like this only help expand his fan base. The question remains whether this constant activity will lead to a gradual loss of quality. But let's leave that to the future.

4 / 10.0 - Hello Neighbor
Jan 10, 2021

Before I bought the game, I watched the trailer. The developers really took care with the trailer, the truth is that not all that glitters is gold. I was very interested in the game, so I bought it. In the end, it was rather disappointing for me and I would have a hard time looking for positives. Eventually, however, one was found. One of them is graphic processing. This graphic is probably not for everyone, but I love the processing, which is reminiscent of animated films for children. Furthermore, I have to admit that at the moment when our nice neighbor was locking that cellar, I absolutely needed to find out what the lecher was hiding in that cellar. But I'm not sure that this particular plot would keep all the players playing.

MXGP: The Official Motocross Videogame is a pleasant surprise for me. The game offers a great and fun driving model with decent visuals and can keep you entertained for dozens of hours. However, the great features are brought down by the technical side of the game and some minor issues that could have been fixed by the developers at Milestone.

Ichiban himself is an interesting character and his friends are such a crazy bunch too. We definitely recommend playing this episode. For us, the game exceeded all expectations we had. It's just a shame that Kiryu didn't have more space, but hopefully we'll see him in the next episode.
