A great visual experience is one thing, but combine that with top-notch voice acting, and you can almost feel the emotions and the feelings of the characters that are portrayed in this epic interactive horror experience.
The game runs just as well on the PC as it does on the mobile, and the ease of putting down the mobile and jumping straight back where I left off on the PC was a massive thumbs up from me. The game felt like I was playing any other Diablo game, which we have had to pay for in the past.
In the past, Capcom has tried to bring their lesser-known titles to modern consoles but with little success. This latest attempt which was announced alongside the reveal of ‘Street Fighter 6’, has been its best yet. Hopefully, if this compilation sells well, it’ll encourage them to think of some possible sequels or even make a second compilation with all their 3D fighters. Until then, there is so much to enjoy and appreciate in Capcom Fighting Collection.
F1 22 is for all the die-hard fans of F1. You will be surprised if you played previous titles with how well the cars handle now and how much quicker you can get around the track. The supercars being added into the game does spice things up a little by being able to drive something else apart from the F1 or F2 cars.
It’s amazing to see all these classic games ported to modern consoles. The Ninja Turtles, plus all their friends, and even the villains, have always had a special place in the hearts of fans around the world. These games played a huge part in not only the Turtles’ legacy but also video game history. Reliving these classics offline and online, and going through all their history in the Turtles Lair will create one shell of a trip down memory lane. Even if Konami has been a shell of its former self in recent years, ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection’ is one of the best things they’ve ever done and gives the people what they want. COWABUNGA DUDE!
For anyone new to the series or returning, Madden NFL 23 is based around the NFL (National Football League) where you might hear some of the bigger names in news like Tom Brady, Guy Whimper, and many more. Like the titles before it, anyone that is a sports game fanatic would be straight into this game with being able to pick your plays, both offensive & defensive, which decide the end factor of the game.
Combat is fun, but it is in the shadow of the story, so if you are looking for Digimon fighting action, this is not the title in the series you should be grabbing, but I personally love the making choices that impact the storyline. The characters are great to interact with, and while there are clearly some standout characters players will dislike, as the story progresses, players will easily get hooked on all how they develop.
I was excited about getting to play this title as it is my first time playing a Sword and Fairy game, and my excitement was justified. I have loved this game from start to finish – it’s my kind of game. The depth of lore, the engaging story, and the fun combat are all captivating. Everyone who loves JRPGs, or just RPGs in general, will enjoy this game.
Live A Live for Nintendo Switch is a testimony of game design that can withstand the test of time. Even though it may have taken 28 years to make the leap overseas in an official capacity, the game feels brand new and with so much to experience and the hidden gems that connects the dots to find, you will be won over time and time again.
This is a game I didn’t know I needed to play until I did. I have even watched a few streamers play it, just to see if they were as entranced as I was. Please don’t discredit the story. It is quite tragic, but it’s wholesome once you start to uncover the truth. It’s a lot more in-depth than I initially thought it would be and definitely worth the playthrough. Everyone should play this, and even though personally it will not be my pick for game of the year, there are so many other aspects of the game that are award-worthy, and they are well earned.
Other than a fancy new visual makeover and a crazy amount of new accessibility options, The Last of Us Part 1 sports a ton of new features made only possible on the Playstation 5, such as faster loading times and 3D Audio, making use of the Playstation 5’s Tempest 3D AudioTech, which delivers richer soundscapes and bigger explosive moment through Naughty Dogs newly upgraded audio engine drivers.
I love the look of Gundams, so being able to see many highly detailed SD variants was an amazing moment for me. Having a large range of variant mobile suits, the details put into the designs are greatly appreciated, although the level designs can feel slightly empty. They feel very small to play in, but they range from canyons to cities and space stations. Playing in different environments is great, but given the size of the suits, I wish the play zone was a bit bigger with a few more enemies.
Just like all the other games in the series, Tactics Ogre: Reborn is a fantasy-themed, turn-based RPG strategy game. Gameplay-wise, it focuses purely on turn-based mechanics, so players won’t have to worry about exploring various locations and solving puzzles, and will be put straight into the action in between all the dialogue segments. The turn-based combat mechanics are deep and offer so much variety for players to really strategise and plan out their attacks against the opposing factions.
It’s been a long time coming for fans to really step into the shoes of the blue hedgehog. Even though it’s a little rough around the edges, Sonic Frontiers is a huge step in the right direction and is no doubt the premiere Sonic game we’ve been wanting for the longest time. The feeling it gives you is unlike anything that’s come before it. It has to be played to be believed. This game could very well be the beginning of a new age of Sonic games, as its future has never looked brighter. The possibilities are never-ending. Sonic is here, reaching far across these new Frontiers.
A well-devised foray into the life of a wannabe pirate captain, Return to Monkey Island is a masterclass in series revival. A game nostalgic enough to appeal to original fans but has its own unique identity for newcomers – easily a part of the Monkey Island legacy, but not trying to be it. The game doesn’t drastically shake up anything but keeps it fresh while continuing a long-standing journey.
Depending on if you are new to gaming and want to test the waters with some old-school games, or you’re like me and used to play the Atari consoles back in the day, this title is for you. Revisiting memories from when things were simpler offers endless hours of fun, and this collection is a great way to honour how it all began.
Firaxis Games have used their experience and love of Marvel to create a game that has greatly exceeded my expectations, and the XCOM-style gameplay only enhances the experience. The chances are you’ll be able to team up with your favourite Marvel hero, and Marvel’s Midnight Suns is the perfect way to experience this.
When I first started the game, the surroundings hit me before the character models did. It looked pretty flawless, and as hard as it is for me to say, even better than when I played it on the PS5. The character models are just as impressive as the previous original game and DLCs, and though the new Peter still looks weird, I am not one to get annoyed by minor changes as others seem to be. One of the things I like doing is going to locations of other Marvel characters to find little Easter Eggs, like the Avengers Tower or the Sanctum Sanctorum.
Veteran WoW players will be happy to see that professions have also had a rework, now holding some new crafting systems for quality and making the user stand out more. Certain jobs, such as Blacksmiths, can now craft better quality gear with bonuses, and if they stick with it, will find themselves in demand. The same can be said for any jobs that produce items to sell, like potions and cloth gear.
Atlas Fallen is an amazing adventure to be tackled, either solo or with a friend, turning the tide of battle and fighting back against the monsters of the land and becoming more powerful with each victory. Honestly, there are not many negatives I can think of with Atlas Fallen. It has been another great release during a great year for games. I have loved every second I have spent exploring the world and all the fights I have encountered. If you are looking for a great action adventure RPG to play, this is highly worth checking out.
