Cat Quest 3 has accomplished its feat, managing to breathe new life into a franchise that may have run out of steam. The addition of the ship, firearms and some general adjustments allows The Gentlebros' IP to be a fun experience that doesn't want to require much effort from the player.

Tombi, 30 years later, is still a very strange little platformer with definite charisma, full of charm and some pretty good gimmicks. Some of its more convoluted design elements are at times a little too tiring for many users today, but the basic gameplay remains satisfying to the point. The additions are good, although something more could have been done on the technical front.

It is said that he who is born round does not die square. This is the perfect summary of the remaster of Star Wars: Bounty Hunter. In spite of the good work done by Aspyr, the conceptual shortcomings of the original work all manifest themselves 22 years after its release, relegating the operation solely to fans.

Final Fantasy XIV's fifth expansion represents both a sequel and a new beginning for the franchise, but it fails to shine in the narrative component that had distinguished it so far in the MMORPG scene. However, there are many new features and the gameplay has benefited from the new additions, pending the additional content that will be released in the coming months.

The Mortuary Assistant is a horror title with an interesting and original concept that, given also the programming done by a single person, deserves a chance by fans of the genre. Unfortunately, the price to pay is a tangible repetitiveness of the actions and a less than excellent art section.

Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate is an appreciable roguelite that attempts to gather all Hades fans now waiting for the second chapter, due next year. Super Evil Megacorp's latest endeavour, however, is a production that struggles to stand out qualitatively, mainly due to a shaky technical compartment and a difficulty set too low, all the more so when played in co-op.

Until Then is a graphic novel without any particular gameplay flourishes, with some technical imperfections but enjoyable from a graphic point of view. The great strength of the narrative lies in its sweet and delicate tone, as well as in the Filipino setting, original and rich in traditions. The paranormal element and the multiverse only serve as a frame for many reflections on the human soul, on grieving, on the journey to adulthood and on interpersonal relationships. Knowing how to let go and learning to listen to those who remain in our lives is not easy. Growing up is not easy, and Until Then tells us this through a story worth living. If you are looking for a relaxing and unpretentious title, give it a chance. Tears are guaranteed.

Minds Beneath Us could easily be made into a successful TV series one day. The plot that unravels before the player's eyes hour after hour has its dark points, but is so varied, intricate and entertaining that it has left us open-mouthed several times. This side-scrolling narrative video game does not offer any particular plot twists, but while travelling on well-defined tracks it manages to give the player a certain sense of freedom. Thanks to the interactive and intelligent responses of the various characters, the actions and words of our alter ego always seem to carry weight: in an instant we are there, in a Chinese megalopolis ravaged by social inequalities and AI, amidst espionage, bowls of noodles and voices in our heads. Despite being a little too long-winded, BearBone Studio's title is polished and entertaining. If the genre and the atmosphere it proposes appeal to you, don't hesitate to play it!

Easy to understand, easy to love: although not without its flaws, Nintendo World Championships is a very successful operation.

Linkito is a good puzzle game that adopts mechanics similar to the Zachtronics games. The dystopian setting adds an appealing layer to the game, and the level editor makes it potentially endless.

Été is an extremely relaxing representation of a painter's studio trip. We do not just paint and sell our pictures, but it is up to us to colour the entire world we live in. It is a pity that the technical component is not sufficiently polished, which sometimes undermines the gaming experience.

Conscript is a rare indie gem in the survival horror genre. Jordan Mochi's debut work aims to portray in videogames the terror of war and the inner battles of the soldiers who are unfortunately forced to live through it. With straightforward (but punishing) gameplay and an over-the-top artistic component, Conscript is an experience that deserves to be enjoyed by all fans of the genre.

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is proof that the creativity and production freedom of a winning company only increases that status. The Osaka-based company's latest endeavour is an innovative mixture of genres capable of enthralling and involving a large segment of the public, all the more so strategy and tactics enthusiasts, but also those who are not at all accustomed to these areas. Progression and difficulty are in fact calibrated to perfection, making the title a must-have, also given its affordable price.

Nobody Wants to Die is an adventure game that puts us in the whiskey-stained shoes of James Karra, a hard-boiled detective living in a dystopian future where nobody really dies. The Polish guys from Critical Hit have debuted with a bang, offering us an enthralling story that, when it allows us to play, also surprises us with some excellent gameplay solutions. We can only recommend that you delve into the technological and philosophical mysteries of Nobody Wants to Die!

Slash is a simple samurai fighting game capable of defeating opponents with a single blow. The battles are tense and exciting, but the disappointing single-player options are synonymous with a lack of depth. Visually pleasing, thanks to the brush drawing style graphics.

Drug Dealer Simulator 2 is a game that knows how to capture and hold the player's attention. With its graphical improvements, new game mechanics and strategic depth, it offers a unique and rewarding experience for those willing to explore the dark side of criminal life. If you are a fan of the genre or simply looking for a different gaming experience, ‘Drug Dealer Simulator 2’ is definitely a title not to be missed.

Anger Foot is a light-hearted game that recalls the gameplay and mood of Hotline Miami, but from a new and original perspective. Kicking thugs is a lot of fun, but our concerns remain about a soundtrack that is far too intrusive. A few performance issues also remain, for which we await corrective patches.

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree is a content-rich expansion, aesthetically beautiful and surprising in terms of the new features it offers in terms of settings, lore, NPCs, enemies, builds and equipment. Almost nothing is mandatory, as per tradition, yet it's a shame to leave anything behind. The level of challenge is obvious, designed for those gamers who enjoyed the base game, yet nothing is unfair or impossible if you use the tools available. There is no shame, no ‘cheat’ in exploiting one build rather than another: the important thing is to have fun and push your limits, in an adventure that is once again different for each Lightless, yet unites everyone. Travelling under the dark, dripping gold branches of the Tree of Shadow is a thrill not to be missed.

Luigi's Mansion 2 HD is all in all a good addition to Switch's 2024, which is now living on many memories. It's a shame, however, that the launch price is problematic in our opinion, given the few new features and especially other, even more substantial remastereds previously released on the hybrid console. Nintendo, you can do better!
