NintendoBoy's Reviews

The game is an adventure that will keep you entertained for a few good hours, both because of its simple narrative but with captivating characters, and because it is extremely enjoyable to play. Who knows, maybe after Nayuta, I'll give Nihon Falcon's other titles a chance.

In conclusion, Disgaea 7 is a very strong recommendation for veteran fans. They'll find everything they expect and more, but they'll have to overcome the fact that sprite models have been left in the past. The game, however, softens the clumsy 3D models of its predecessor, so I believe it's just a matter of improvement. For newcomers, however, you will be encouraged to explore everything that brings the Disgaea series to life, but it is important to note that its narrative elements may not be to everyone's taste. Disgaea 7, like the rest of the franchise, is a unique and irreplicable SRPG experience.

Dokapon Kingdom: Connect is a very interesting experiment in its attempt to merge completely opposite genres, unfortunately it is a game that few will have the time and commitment necessary to really enjoy the title, as well as the patience for hours of turns focused on grinding. However, it is certainly an experiment that increased my desire to see this combination being approached again by more developers, in an attempt to refine it into something extremely unique and fun to propose playing with friends in casual hangouts, without all the filler here.

I will be completely direct now, because I want my headaches with this game to go away. If you are looking for an interesting story, this game is not for you, and if you want simulation with fluid and responsive gameplay, this game is not for you either.

The DLC manages to bring together interesting elements that make the experience fun. Carmine is definitely one of the highlights of the story and there is a lot to do and explore. Unfortunately, bugs and performance issues from the base game still persist here.

In conclusion, it is possibly Experience's best DRPG in terms of movement and customization, but it ends up sacrificing some aspects such as story, and in my opinion, it is a little difficult to recommend, especially with a somewhat bitter price.

6 / 10.0 - Mugen Souls Z
Sep 15, 2023

Though it takes advantage of its predecessor's concept, Mugen Souls Z falls in the same traps that made it a weak, aesthetically dated game with a poorly organized gameplay and narrative structure. It can still be a curious experience for those who love fanservice and humor works, but it's a tough recommendation overall.

8.5 / 10.0 - Gunbrella
Sep 13, 2023

Gunbrella is definitely worth it. It's a great game, challenging at just the right point and always encourage you to try again when you lose. You might want to put it on easy mode; I went on normal, and I had some difficulty, with some frustrating deaths for no reason. On easy, it would be a slightly more peaceful experience. I didn't even try hard mode, because I know my limits, however, if having a horrible death is your thing, it's worth a try.

Samba de Amigo: Party Central is a good attempt to revive a beloved series, but it fails to do so by leaving aside its Latin roots to make room for pop songs that frankly just don't seem to belong in the game. It's a fun experience that will certainly take a few hours out of your life. Samba de Amigo's gameplay remains intact and shaking your Joy-Cons to the beat will rarely get boring, but the loss of the ambiance and music from previous titles is definitely a big bummer.

8.5 / 10.0 - Blasphemous 2
Sep 6, 2023

Blasphemous 2 enhances all the qualities of its predecessor with more exploration, new weapons and a deeper, more technical and choreographed combat. Although the balance is positive, the Penitent's journey, even with its unmistakable dark atmosphere, seemed more familiar to me than I would have liked, inheriting much from what we had already seen in 2019, when the original game was released.

Ultimately, Rune Factory 3 Special is a respectable remaster and, overall, an engaging experience as expected from a title in this series. Fans who started with Rune Factory 4 or 5 will not be disappointed, as it delivers exactly what one would expect from a “Rune Factory experience.” Those who are looking for a more affordable option will be able to enjoy it without any problems, as long as they understand that it is a remaster of a portable game, with a portable scope.

9 / 10.0 - ANONYMOUS;CODE
Sep 5, 2023

ANONYMOUS;CODE has few flaws. Worthy of being another solid entry in the SciAdv franchise, its popularity being at stake for being part of the same franchise as one of the highest-rated sci-fi anime in the industry is something that only depends on how it will be promoted.

8 / 10.0 - 30XX
Sep 1, 2023

Of course, 30XX has its own charm. As mentioned before, the game's roguelike elements are very good and addictive. This is a game that encourages learning and avoiding certain vices that may exist in more experienced players of the genre. The randomness, whether in the choice of scenarios or which improvements will be available in the runs, encourages the player to play it many times in search of the challenge of finishing the game in the most different ways.

8.5 / 10.0 - Red Dead Redemption
Aug 30, 2023

Red Dead Redemption is a game marked by an excellent narrative and sensational dialogues (the introductory scene is a show in itself). However, the somewhat high price tag may put off curious people, after all, it is a 2010 title and it is neither The Legend of Zelda nor Mario, to encourage owners of Nintendo's console to pay full price for it. But, for everything that Red Dead Redemption was and continues to be, if you do, you won't regret it. The title is a great addition to the excellent catalog of games on the phenomenon called Nintendo Switch.

8 / 10.0 - Norn9: Last Era
Aug 27, 2023

Norn9: Last Era is a very important expansion to Var Commons and a must-play to finish its story. Even with a few issues, this is a very pleasant sci-fi experience and an easy recommendation.

Despite the caveats, Rhapsody: Marl Kingdom Chronicles is, without a doubt, the greatest act of love that NIS America has ever had towards its fans, while also honoring the legacy of Nippon Ichi Software on this side of the globe.

Aug 20, 2023

Pups & Purrs Pet Shop has a fun and charming core, with extremely cute peta for us to treat, and some genuinely fun minigames, but it lacks a lot in its repetition, with aimless activities in a way it makes the player wait too long for some actions. Maybe it's a fun experience for a younger audience who won't get so tired of these repetitions and super basic customization, but for the rest it just might be a waste of time.

Aug 17, 2023

My experience with Shinobi non Grata was nothing short of satisfying. It made me want to return to Ninja Gaiden via Nintendo Switch Online any day now. Kaina's adventure doesn't feature any original elements, but rather many similarities to legendary titles like Mega Man and Ninja Gaiden, but its gameplay is so fluid that there's no way to not have fun with the game.

To recomend The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood is as natural as the magic that runs through its structure. In a narrative that is built with the player, structured by an extremely competent text and supported by an impressive aesthetic, the title proves to be an excellent way for us to reflect on ourselves.

In short, my lack of interest in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is completely related to how I have become disconnected from the series. There has been much speculation about whether or not the title has recaptured the essence of Link's adventures, but I feel that we need to ask ourselves that, not the work itself. Objectively, I know that most people will love it, and others will like it. I reserve myself for the minority who got tired of it along the way, while at the same time I pray for a new youth to discover here the charms that I once lost.
