Well, because I'm an adult (I think), I can't say that I loved the game. It's about 8h-10h of game time when you try to enjoy it (you can finish it in less if you really want to), but it's a bit repetitive and not very challenging. However, if you have a child to play with you, it becomes much more interesting, and an exercise in bonding, where you can help each other. Princess Peach: Showtime! is cute, after all. Everything is very beautiful, including the princess's arts and animations were thought out with some care.

Doing very well what it sets out to do, Pepper Grinder arrives on Nintendo's hybrid console as a nice small game to finish in a weekend. The lack of ambition turns this game in the kind of experience that is very fun but far from being incredible in its genre.

Unicorn Overlord is a strategic RPG that already demonstrates at its launch the qualities to become a great classic of the genre. This is an exemplary title that manages to bring great freshness to a market that insists on mostly repeating the same tactical structure over and over instead of looking at other possibilities. Equally deep in mechanics and inviting to newcomers, there's no real reason not to recommend it to all players.

Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection was not released in a good state. The problems presented end up hiding what are two good games in the space saga. With Aspyr having announced the release of patches to fix the problems, I can only hope that they follow through on their promise and improve the experience so that we have something fun and good to enjoy on the Switch.

The Legend of Legacy is not a game that appears to be very ambitious in its proposal or execution. Because of that, it ends up not being more than average in almost every aspect. I don't think remastering is enough to entice veterans of the title to try it again, but it's certainly the definitive version for players looking for a JRPG that doesn't have a high level of mechanical and narrative complexity.

THE KING OF FIGHTERS XIII GLOBAL MATCH is one of the best chapters in the KOF series, finally available on Switch and bringing with it great netcode for online play. The new version features fighters released as DLCs, lots of content to unlock, a rich tutorial mode and much more. Fans of fighting games have an excellent title for their Nintendo Switch.

Star Wars: Dark Forces Remaster may not be such a special game in the minds of Star Wars fans, but it is still a fun title in the saga. Kyle Katarn's story may no longer be canon, but it's still good enough to explore. This is one of the few games that doesn't have a lightsaber, but the gameplay can still be very fun and Nightdive's work in bringing the game to modern platforms is something to be praised.

Trying to convey a grand message, Ayakashi Tsuzuri is conducted in a way that is similar to a short story aimed at children. There is not much depth and and a lack of character development. With a very slow start and dialogues that are often redundant, the game becomes painful for those who were not won over by the script.

Deckbuilders roguelite are a typical genre in the indie scene, and Yohane the Parhelion – NUMAZU in the MIRAGE – seems to fit in well. Therefore, it is an easy recommendation for enthusiasts of the genre — I say this because I really enjoy games with this theme, although I admit that it is not something I play as often as I do with JRPGs.

Penny's Big Breakaway is, in a way, a platformer I've always dreamed of: I've always wondered what it would be like if Sonic had a smooth transition to 3D and this seems to be the answer. Jokes aside, the game is quite fun and really an excellent original game for what it is, and although it is impossible to disassociate the genre and the hedgehog's inspirations, the more games like this we have, the better, and this is a perfect hit.

For those who grew up in the 90s with a SNES and were able to play Top Racer, the Top Racer Collection is a great gift. Mediterranea Inferno is a deeply sensible work in its discussions and manages to offer an instigating psychodelic view of current social issues. The lives of the three sun boys is a curious way to think about our own blemishes, the world we live in, and what we wish for the future. Even with a few technical issues, this is a must-play and the ultimate proof of Lorenzo Redaelli's skill as a creator.

Piczle Cross: Story of Seasons is an unexpected but rewarding way to revisit our memories of the farm life. The game manages to execute well what it proposes: a simple puzzle challenge but with plenty of love for the works it represents.

The biggest issue with Mario vs. Donkey Kong is its length and difficulty. Even with the extra modes, our contact with the game is very short-lived, and except for the time trial mode, once you've completed all the tasks, there's not much to revisit.

Sympathy Kiss is a pretty solid choice if the "office experience" part of this appeals to you, and the lack of a more intense or fantasy-like plot isn't a problem, as its proposal is the office slice-of-life drama. The game's art is beautiful, the music is pleasant, and I really think it very cleverly spares us from some Visual Novel protocols, which is refreshing for veteran players.

Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island is an excellent example of how roguelikes can be addicting by combining the right dose of punishment and reward. Here we have a game that knows what its public wants and deserves to stand out in Switch's library.

Taking it all into consideration, I feel that the rhythm issues I mentioned are very small compared to the fun that this game provides: Very well-made crafting system, just the right amount of complexity and, of course, the charismatic Bandle City and its wonderful characters.

Spirit Hunter: Death Mark II proved to be the best game in the series to this day. Improving on previously presented mechanics while successfully trying to implement new and interesting ones, Experience Inc. has managed to create a world with charismatic characters and a captivating and immersive mystery that is very well followed by satisfying gameplay that flows organically. In conclusion, Death Mark II is an excellent horror game and definitely deserves to be played by fans of the genre despite its setbacks.

GUNVOLT RECORDS: Cychronicle is an unusual spin-off, but a welcome addition to the franchise. Being able to enjoy the captivating soundtracks from the games is a great choice for the fans. However, for those who are in this group but don't have familiarity with the genre, the experience demands patience and dedication, as the quick tempo of the songs makes even the easiest stages demanding.
