With an engaging story of fight against tyranny, a dynamic combat, a well-written and cartoonish characters, as well as a soundtrack that is more than just worthy, Persona 5 Tactica is my wet dream for a Tactical RPG in this series.

Continuing with a style that has proven successful and introducing some small improvements to the formula, NARUTO X BORUTO Ultimate Ninja STORM CONNECTIONS is the best game in the Ultimate Ninja Storm saga from a gameplay standpoint. Over 100 playable characters, easy-to-master controls, and plenty of action are here for players to enjoy.

My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! ~Pirates of the Disturbance~ is, without a doubt, a work for the original fans of the series. It delivers all the (heterosexual) romance that we wish existed in the novel, since our imagination is not enough. But its jokes are stale and the initial interactions bring nothing new: it is everything that we have already seen before.

The Last Faith features a moderate and fairly balanced difficulty. Not as punishing as what we see in Souls-likes, but not super friendly either. The most difficult (and at the same time most fun) moments are always in the boss battles, especially the optional ones, which grant special weapons and items.

It's comforting to know that new generations will be able to appreciate this gem in the same way I did in my childhood, and it's a dream to be able to say that Super Mario RPG is in the spotlight again in such a dignified and respectful way to a game that left such a mark on me. The past and present have finally met: Super Mario RPG marked my childhood, and now I can happily say that it marked my adult life as well.

Fashion Dream is a difficulty recommendation for those who have no experience with the genre, but for those who like to spend hours putting together looks and would love a new Style Savvy or similar, it is perfectly recommended, but with reservations.

Star Ocean: The Second Story R is one of the best remakes released by Square Enix this year. The original Second Story has always been considered one of the best titles in the franchise, and this remake makes things even better. Bringing what is essentially a 90s JRPG into the modern era, the additions made here make this the best way to enjoy this classic.

Yohane the Parhelion -BLAZE in the DEEPBLUE- is much more than a cheap anime-to-videogame conversion. Inti Creates' pedigree has helped make it a premium metroidvania experience and a solid recommendation for hardcore fans.

WarioWare: Move It! is a good game and it's fun. If you have a group of friends to play with, you can go for it and it's 100% enjoyable. If it's just you, well, it still works, but it wouldn't be my first choice for a party game, and many areas will be inaccessible. In short, I really liked it and had a lot of fun!

Summing up everything presented above, I think Headbangers had a great, potentially hilarious idea, but unfortunately it doesn't stand on its own. The mini-game idea is cool, and I went in with high expectations, as it seemed simple, casual, and fun—everything you need after a day's work. However, I received a series of repeated frustrations that very occasionally brought a smile to my face.

There's no doubt that a lot of love went into the title, and that it was made more out of a passion for revisiting a classic formula than creating a new, groundbreaking brand. The production values are decently pleasing, with its more primitive elements referencing its arcade-style older brother (the same Space Harrier graphics are used in every enemy projectile). But for the average player looking to discover a new indie game to try on the eShop, this is where the hesitation lies. All in all, if you already know who Yu Suzuki is and his legacy, you can dive headfirst into the world of Air Twister and you won't regret yet another spiritual successor that fails to live up to expectations and carves out its own identity.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 relies on its characters' charisma to stay relevant. But that alone isn't enough. Everything we saw in the first game is present in the sequel, and this includes the repetition of some issues, such as the lack of players in online mode.

In summary, Archetype Arcadia is nothing revolutionary, but it is a fun story, which, due to questionable decisions, became more generic than it needed to be, but its interesting themes and charming characters, although shallow, with a good protagonist, make the experience enjoyable after its long 40 hours of reading.

Future Redemeed is one of the best experiences of 2023. If it seems like I was very critical in this review, be aware that I end up being that way because I am absolutely in love with this series, and, with the number of releases we have at the moment, there is a lot to compare to. I don't think the game is bad simply because I didn't have a deep emotional connection to the story; In fact, I think this could very well have been an element exclusive to my experience, right? Maybe I'll play it again in a year and connect way more with Matthew's story.

Despite limitations in level design, some balancing issues, a narrative that is overly focused on a military plot, and a modest visual (and audio) revision of the remake, Front Mission 2: Remake is finally a gateway to this classic in the West and deserves the attention of fans of the series.

Sonic Superstars gave me a mix of sensations. A dose of frustration, it's true, with the problems I've highlighted so far, but also, happiness for the nostalgia it gave me. Happy to see that Arzest managed to get it right, especially when it comes to the identity of a 2D blue hedgehog game.

Compared to, for example, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, I still think it's not as good. Maybe I’m getting old and it’s just my nostalgia talking, but I think they could have explored a few more things. Still, Super Mario Bros. Wonder is definitely worth it! And you’ll have a lot of fun for a long time, hours of guaranteed fun. Highly recommended!

Borderlands 3 was announced by surprise on the Switch and quickly became one of the titles I most wanted to play on the platform. I had fun with the game, its additions to the gameplay are very good and extremely welcome. Although the story and humor are not very good, Borderlands 2 is still the best in this category, the new Vault Hunters are fun to control and especially to see their interactions in some of the quests. The skill trees, gameplay and weapon control are the best so far.

Company of Heroes Collection brings one of the best RTS options to the Nintendo Switch, and it's very well adapted for the platform. The title has some problems, such as cutscenes running at a few frames, the lack of touch control options – which only work in the menus – and some small limitations. However, the package brings an incredible game and two expansions full of content, with a well-adapted and addictive gameplay, which encourages the player to try hard and discover new ways to complete the objectives.

Honestly, Detective Pikachu Returns is a good game. I wouldn't say it's mediocre, much less bad; it's the work that represents the synthesis of "yeah, cool". I don't believe that an improvement in the technical aspect would make me change my opinion: the same text applied to a game with a AAA budget would have more support from the public, but at the of the day, a text is a text.
