The truth is that I would never be so tolerant of Clive 'N' Wrench faults if I didn't know the entire context that surrounds him. But playing with everything I've exposed here, I managed to have extreme sympathy with the creator and consequently with his work. More than that, I believe there is a lot of talent behind this game, because despite the lack of polish, it really manages to get it right in several aspects. Which makes me hopeful that the game will be a relative success and we will have more Rob Wass games in the future.

Gal Guardians: Demon Purge is a spin-off of an ecchi franchise and its final quality clearly demonstrates this. When compared to other 2D games from Inti Creates, such as the Azure Strike Gunvolt series, the drop in quality is noticeable. Despite having good gameplay, the combination of its visual elements, sound and design choices end up ruining what could be a good experience.

It's a polished, fun, and very interesting game from many perspectives. It's definitely impressive and demonstrates the team's full potential, giving me a lot of hope for their next game. Despite the harsh criticism in the last paragraph, I've played all of the company's games (even the promotional Fate/Stay Night) and I feel a tremendous affection for KROBON's career. My excessive criticism comes from a place of legitimate admiration and expectation, so I hope the reader still leaves with the following information: Drainus is a spectacular game, and worth your money.

Although the challenges are amplified as you pass the stages, introducing new elements, including the aforementioned powers, making the experience in that particular stage unique among the others, the game does not provide much variety, and you will inevitably get tired of the structure very quickly. It's the old problem of seeing everything the game has to offer in the first few moments, and in Gwen's case, it could be in the first 10 or 15 minutes (that is, if you don't die repeatedly in the first level during that period). The ability to purchase CheckPoints is eventually unlocked in the HUB to speed up your process with these levels, but the amount of collectibles needed is too large to even bother purchasing.

I genuinely can't look at Labyrinth of Galleria as an average experience within its scope. It really does everything it sets out to do very well. Therefore, if you are one of those who value a well-designed, challenging and mechanic-rich RPG, especially if you are an avid fan of RPG Dungeon Crawler, this is a title that deserves your attention.

The simplicity of its controls and puzzles make the title attractive for players of all ages. Despite some small and occasional problems, the overall experience is quite satisfactory. Blanc can be seen as a silent and short interactive story, which shows us that even in our differences, love, friendship and respect are enough to overcome any type of obstacles.

Persona 4 Golden, despite not being perfect, was an excellent experience in form, content and substance. It left an impression on me that managed to reflect on my way of seeing things in real life and that in itself already guarantees its place as a universal recommendation from me.

Labyrinth of Refrain: Coven of Dusk is a solid and engaging experience. It offers distinct mechanics and a nice level of difficulty, making it a surefire recommendation for fans of the series. It takes advantage of several features already featured in NIS's Tactical RPG games, but adapts them to the format of a DRPG, while still introducing its own unique features.

As the game that put Persona on the map, Persona 3 Portable is an experience that has its ups and downs. The foundation of the modern formula for the series began here, and its age shows with some outdated mechanics compared to the titles that followed it. Of the three re-releases in the series, this will be the hardest to get newcomers interested who may have been introduced to Persona through the famous Persona 5.

Wonder Boy Anniversary Collection is a great collection to get to know this underrated classic SEGA IP, which has not only some great games, but also a very interesting history, it's fun to see how the titles have evolved and constantly changed between releases, but always improving in quality. If you are a fan of classic games from the Master System and Mega Drive (aka Genesis) era, it is certainly worth checking out the titles present here and experience some of the best games on these consoles, but of course, keeping in mind that they also show their age.

Overall, The Cosmic Shake is very good, but its performance on Nintendo's console and several technical issues hinder what could have been the best game featuring the world's most beloved sponge to date. I sincerely hope Purple Lamp gets another chance with the franchise, as they've proven their worth with the game's excellent design and just need to polish this gem.

Burrow of the Fallen Bear is a visual novel that's honest about its intentions. With charismatic, expressive characters, it does a good job at executing its medieval furry world and sexuality approach. But the Portuguese text title and various details related to the user experience leave a lot to be desired. It's a title that I personally find pleasant for those who are interested by the theme but it deserved more polish.

If the first times you carry out the activities the cuteness of the animals holds up well, from the twentieth time onwards it becomes less interesting and there is still a lot of playtime after that. And finally, that's basically all the game offers, the minigames are as simple as the simplest ones in Mario Party, for example, just pressing a button repeatedly in more situations than I would think appropriate. Still, the game isn't bad, if you fall in love with the mascots at first sight like I did, the game can give you a few good hours of fun, I just hope it takes longer for you to get bored of the repetition than I did.

A psychedelic and mysterious soundtrack, combined with a bizarre and mysterious visual direction, even when dealing with mundane facts, such as dogs, vegetables and dentists, prove to be the perfect combination for a gameplay that aims to be agile and fluid, always valuing the player's experience.

In case it wasn't clear, the plot is utterly captivating. More than that, perhaps: exasperating, revealing, and sensible. The humor and writing are always well-paced, with no lengthy dialogue and full of moments of lightness to help us bear the weight of the final message. And finally, the game's presentation couldn't be better. The pixel art is fantastic, blending the 2D setting with breathtaking cutscenes and minigames that maximize the characters' expressiveness and movement.

Despite an unconvincing, limited and uninteresting script, and the simplicity of its RPG systems that result in somewhat repetitive combat dynamics, Dragon Quest Treasures brings a pleasant, free, rewarding and fluid experience of exploration and use of creatures. Furthermore, there is no shortage of nostalgic fanservice and there is a solid audiovisual work; a little modest in some aspects, but with a charming and charismatic art direction along with a soundtrack with few new pieces, but still wonderful, within the high standard of the series. The title is a good spin-off for Dragon Quest fans, who will feel right at home in Erik and Mia's guild, however, there are more charming entries for beginners in the series and for fans of RPGs focused on exploration.

Crisis Core —Final Fantasy VII— Reunion is a good experience with the Final Fantasy series name. Further expanding the Final Fantasy VII universe, the game has its ups and downs, with a narrative that seeks to introduce players to a very important character for the narrative of the PS1 classic.

The adventure has a good pace and plenty of content, the graphic quality is impressive on the Nintendo Switch and the combat is quite fun once you get the hang of it. As a whole, SAMURAI MAIDEN is quite simple but well written, the interaction between the girls is quite satisfying too — if you're used to franchises like Senran Kagura, this entry will be a real treat.

Romancing SaGa Minstrel Song Remastered is definitely a very complex and interesting experience, although it is also very limiting. With tons of characters, this is a game that requires a lot of dedication and predisposition from the player to learn its mechanics, explore the world and try out new techniques and builds during multiple runs, things that not all players will have the required patience for. However, for those who like the JRPG genre not only for its ambitious stories, but also for their gameplay, customization systems and complex mechanics, that's certainly a mandatory title to know and a great challenge to master.

As a whole, River City Girls 2 is a great choice for beat 'em up fans. Featuring a lengthy main story, incredibly fun gameplay, multiplayer for up to 4 players, and a cool presentation, the game ends the year with a bang. Many new features make it a far superior sequel to the 2019 title. Side quests will help extend your time even further, and New Game Plus offers incentives to take advantage of, such as extra helpers straight from one of Arc System Works' most famous fighting series.
