What helps is that the games are well represented, offer small tweaks and offer crucial information for newcomers. In a multiplayer setting, be it locally or far away, this game is one of the better offerings on Nintendo Switch to date. This is where many will get the most mileage out of this new Clubhouse entry.

Besides that, playing Brain Training is a great start to the day. It allows me to mentally reset, try some hard-hitting challenges and get on with my day. For now and then, the Nintendo Switch version is rather ideally made.

1.5 / 10.0 - Energy Invasion
Jan 10, 2018

Energy Invasion is a bad game. It's currently the game I hate the most out of everything I've played so far on the Nintendo Switch. Outside of maybe the music, I can't name a single aspect that I liked about it. Most importantly, I felt worse mentally after playing it and that is simply the worst.

2 / 10.0 - Pizza Parking
Mar 24, 2019

Pizza Parking deserves to be shunned. For all the quality software coming to Nintendo Switch, this one just really messes with my head. I'm really trying to understand what the game is trying to accomplish. Does it want to be a puzzle game or a racing game?

Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric is simply a disaster. To my knowledge, it is the worst retail game I have played in a long time. The game is boring, chock full of problems and glitches, and doesn't know when to be quiet for even a moment.

3 / 10.0 - Ghost Parade
Dec 4, 2019

Ghost Parade has a few sound intentions, but the game's quality is well below par. The game runs dreadfully, and none of Ghost Parade's elements are exactly fun. There are passable moments found within the combat and story, but all of that feels few and far between. As a platformer, it fails to make even a slight impact. Not even on an ironic level can I say I had fun with the journey.

WWE 2K18 is just painful to play. Almost everything about the port is poorly implemented, causing me to just feel utter sadness.

The story makes a big deal out of various themes, but there are only fleeting moments where it all matters. I think that the biggest problem of The Bradwell Conspiracy is that getting through it is neither fun nor rewarding. There are so many frustrating moments to be had that I would simply rather play something else.

3.5 / 10.0 - Tennis World Tour
Jun 29, 2018

There isn't really a star cast of tennis players, the gameplay has some extremely weak elements and the overall feeling is one a lack of care. The developers didn't care enough to prep some variables or offer something greater than the basics. That is honestly the biggest crime Tennis World Tour has committed, but even at that, this game needs a whole lot of work.

Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash isn't good in the slightest. While the game can be decent in passing, it's a horrible value when you stop and think about it. There is just one stadium, limited online options and less features than the previous two entries.

3.5 / 10.0 - Devil's Third
Aug 26, 2015

With just five hours on the counter, barely anything gets time to truly sink in. Add to this the technical issues and the inconsistencies of the presentation and you have a game that could have benefited from a bit more playtesting.

And sure, the game tries to tie it in to the Scribblenauts franchise, but it misfires to an almost comical degree. This would be more funny if it didn't involve games I used to really love. There is the potential to bring Scribblenauts back, but Warner Bros. aren't the people to do it.

4 / 10.0 - 3D MiniGolf
Feb 10, 2018

3D MiniGolf is a bad piece of software that can't even serve its purpose correctly. With only 70 minutes worth of content, I found myself quickly erasing this game from my memory.

Scanning the environment is needed to fully 100% the game, but it felt pointless. Next to that, there were some obtuse moments that were better left out entirely. We had no reason to return after our initial run, so the security guard's tale probably won't generate much buzz.

Newcomers and veterans alike will scratch their heads at missing plot points or elements that are simply glossed over leaving only hardcore fans knowing what exactly is going on. The presentation is acceptable, but the surprising lack of stereoscopic 3D and some weird animations will make it not all exactly tick. The open sea of 3DS software has a bevy of good games to explore but sadly, Romance Dawn isn't one of them.
