Super Meat Boy Forever is nothing like its predecessor. It doesn’t have the same charm, level design, or gameplay. I’m not a fan of the auto-runner concept, it is such a weird decision and downgrade from developer Team Meat. It remains enjoyable but it is far from the masterpiece that Super Meat Boy was in 2010.

The story, dialogue, and the creative journal gameplay are reasons to give Lost Words a straight 100%. Unfortunately not every other aspect is of the same quality, the gameplay sections in Estoria are basic and the simplicity in both worlds reduces my overall opinion of the game. Without a doubt though, this is a game I can highly recommend!

54 / 100 - Black Legend
Apr 9, 2021

Despite the heavy influence of Belgian folklore and an interesting tactical battle system Black Legend couldn’t convince me. A disappointing visual world, annoying bugs, and frustrating explanation of game mechanics result in a game that exists but won’t be recommended by anyone. Honestly a big missed opportunity for something much better.

It is truly exceptional that a small team has been able to develop a game like Raji, Nodding Head Games can be very proud of what they accomplished. Learning more about the Indian culture while playing a gorgeous game is rare and time well spent.

Watch Dogs Legion ‘play as everyone’ mechanic works brilliantly, this is a genre-defying feature and something that sets the game apart from its competition.

96 / 100 - F1 2020
Jul 15, 2020

F1 2020 is one of the greatest racing experiences that you can play, Codemasters created a masterpiece here. From the new My Team content and regular old-school split-screen racing everything is done with the utmost attention. It looks fantastic, it plays fantastic, F1 2020 is fantastic.

Hunting Simulator 2 is made for a very niche audience, there is just too much downtime for the average gamer. Finding wildlife to shoot is a tremendous timely task that becomes really boring after a few minutes

It had potential to be something really great but it has some odd negative mechanics that bring it down. I do hope that Disintegration is successful for V1 interactive, this studio shows a lot of promise and talent!

I have a thing with niche games and Ace Combat is a fine example for that, previous entries kinda went a little down spiral but Ace Combat 7 Skies Unknown brings the franchise back where it belongs, high in the air leaving competition far behind. I couldn’t have been more happy how this game turned out. So “sortie” to your nearest game shop or the Xbox Store and buy this fantastic game!

100 / 100 - Forza Horizon 4
Sep 24, 2018

Playground Games has the best racing developers and might even be, or are the best development team in the world. Forza Horizon 4 is a must have game for all Xbox One gamers, it is a genre-defying, console-defying and industry-defying game. I have no other words for it, this game is a monumental treasure for gamers.

89 / 100 - F1 2018

F1 2018 is simply the best released racing game so far in 2018, the physics are on spot, the gameplay is fast and fun and the licensing is awesome for Formule fans. Codemasters made a fantastic racing experience that other developers can use as a benchmark.

87 / 100 - Flipping Death

Zoink is on a fliptastic roll, Fe was great and now Flipping Death is another huge success. The art designers and visual talent from the Swedish developer is remarkable!

9.1 / 10.0 - Fe
Feb 18, 2018

Visually the game is unique and something you have to see for yourself, the gameplay, sound and atmosphere are all really good. It is not Zoink who should be happy that EA took them for the EA Originals label, but EA should be happy that the Swedish developer wanted to bring Fe on the Originals label.

5.5 / 10.0 - DYE
Feb 11, 2018

Making a game part time after work and on weekends shows how passionate you are about it, I highly respect the two developers from DYE (and Aeon Command) for that. Sadly enough, DYE has a few negatives that can’t be overlooked, speedrunners and challenging platformer fans will likely enjoy the game but it is hard to recommend for other players, even for the low €5 price point. That said, want to support small teams or just try the game? Go ahead, it is one of the cheaper games on the Xbox Store.

7.2 / 10.0 - Pinstripe
Feb 7, 2018

Fantastic sound and visuals but the most important thing was a little forgotten, Gameplay. While Pinstripe is surely a game I can recommend to play, the potential was astonishing and Armor Games didn’t reach that high level. One thing is for sure though, I won’t easily forget Mr. Pinstripe.. what a haunting character!

8.4 / 10.0 - Bulb Boy
Oct 8, 2017

A small game, but worth your time. An audiovisual package that many games aim for but never reach, Bulb Boy is a fine example for great creative talent. It is a shame that the game hurts itself a little by being a little light on content.

Marvel vs Capcom Infinite’s Infinity Stones powered gameplay is truly remarkable, gamers will absolutely love the fast and highly controllable battle engine. Not all is great, it is a big shame that the visuals look undercooked and that the presentation is extremely dull.
