5 / 10 - Tengami
Dec 1, 2014

Tengami brings forth the ever-more present question of where does art end and the game begin, or vice-versa. A stunning looking graphical environment and an involving soundtrack do not make up for a slow and dull pace, a very limited gameplay and the lack of experience for the player.

Disco Dodgeball Remix has a flair of its own and it features a visual and audio environment that are pretty unique. It doesn't fully live up to those standards, though, as the game's experience with the multiplayer component ends up feeling short due to a lack of online opponents and to a control system that needs more work.

88 Heroes: 98 Heroes Edition is rich in characters and humorous content and is very likely to keep players around it for long sessions of play. This doesn't quite materialize in all the game's components, as the way it manages the death of the player's characters will feel out of place and unbalanced, while the levels' extremely short length and similar traits among them will not allow for a deeper experience.

6 / 10 - Picross S
Oct 20, 2017

The game's basis did not change and it's still Picross as everyone knows it but the lack of use of the touch screen and the absence of pointers when playing on a television screen could have made it a more pleasant experience. What makes Picross S more difficult to digest is the size of the game screen, which does not change compared to its predecessors, a decision that is unjustifiable.

6 / 10 - I and Me
Aug 8, 2017

I and Me is good and it could certainly be better if it maximized its assets. Its gameplay is fun and interesting and its audiovisual environment fits well with the game but the feeling of repetitiveness and the level of challenge (which could be higher) end up causing some harm to what is overall an enjoyable experience.

6 / 10 - TumbleSeed
May 24, 2017

The challenge it proposes will push players to the edge, as some will not be able to handle it and will find themselves on the brink of fury but those brave enough to handle this storm will find a game where despite the many, many deaths awaiting them, the feeling of reward after reaching their goals will push them into ecstasy.

6 / 10 - Mr. Shifty
Apr 26, 2017

While Mr. Shifty brings an interesting and fun gameplay, thanks to its mechanics that emphasize fun over everything else, it suffers from technical issues that can harm the overall game experience.

Shock Troopers brings the players back to a time of simpler gameplay mechanics and it certainly has a commendable nostalgia value for those who know it and who treasure it. Some of its features feel outdated by today's standards, however, which means that more recent players will question some of the game's aspects and its gameplay will feel like it truly belongs to Shock Troopers' original time.

Justice Chronicles is a simple turn-based JRPG made in the style of its 16-bit era counterparts, no more no less.

The major obstacle to its mission is the lack of translation options, which puts its problems strictly within the realm of understanding of students who have already mastered the mathematical concepts tested in the game.

May 1, 2015

This is a game that makes strategic thinking very difficult and the shallow plot and undeveloped character progression further downgrade its RPG credentials. On the other hand, it does have an attractive action component, rich and enticing visual and sound environments and a well-implemented steam-as-fuel mechanic.

6 / 10 - Nova-111
Nov 24, 2015

Nova 111 is an interesting and original strategy game that makes use of stunning visuals and a very precise gameplay mechanics. It could only gain from a more practical save feature that would reduce the amount of times players will be forced to repeat the same levels over and over.

Q.U.B.E. Director’s Cut may have its flaws but they don’t stand in the way of a game with well-designed challenges and a simple but compelling narrative. Each puzzle solved gives the player a unique feeling of satisfaction and an incentive to stride forward.

7 / 10 - Picross e8
Feb 10, 2018

Picross e8 follows the long-running picross games' series where nearly nothing changes from one chapter to the next. This carries both a negative and a positive aspect, though in the case of Picross e8 it's possible to observe a rise in the difficulty level which makes this game more suitable for people familiar with picross. Regardless of that, the main aspects remain unaltered and it's an enjoyable and challenging game to play.

7 / 10 - Nuclien
Feb 8, 2018

Nuclien is an original and challenging puzzle game and while it doesn't revolutionize the world around itself, it still represents an interesting and pleasant experience. It does feel too short and there's a feeling that it doesn't compel the player to return to it once finished but overall, Nuclien passes the test.

7 / 10 - Robonauts
Nov 2, 2017

Robonauts brings a dose of frantic shooting action with some platforming mechanics in what is a quick and intense game based on the shoot and run style. Although it doesn't offer much in terms of plot and character development, its gameplay makes up for these flaws and nobody will come out disappointed.

Infinite Minigolf has very realistic ball physics and a control system that is extremely precise - so precise that it can even put off less experienced players, as it takes some time to get used to. Its lack of motion controls is also difficult to understand but Infinite Minigolf has plenty going for it, including its potentially endless lifespan.

The unusual premise is just one of several elements at play but overall, this is a fun and enjoyable game with fine-tuned controls that is set to provide some good times to its players, unless they are looking for a more hardcore and demanding experience, in which case Aqua Kitty UDX will feel rather limited.
