The music is repetitive and boring.
But there's far too much wrong here for me to recommend The Deer God.
The sense of accomplishment is real when it happens, but it’s impossible to ignore the feeling that victory wasn’t entirely due to gaming prowess.
Chaining together Switch attacks and six or seven special moves to obliterate a boss in seconds makes you feel like a God, and that's worth the price of admission as far as I'm concerned.
The Solus Project does what it sets out to do — immerse you in a dangerous environment for a dozen or so hours and task you with surviving long enough to experience the story. While I wish there was a bit more to the plot, and while the controls frustrated me, it's a fairly solid exploration and survival game. The VR component makes it worth investing some time in.
Bust this out at a party for 30 minutes of fun, but don't expect your friends to beg for more at the next get together.
While the environmental storytelling is solid, the writing and voice acting lack polish.
If corners were cut with the graphics, they were completely rounded over and sanded down in the music and sound department.
CastleStorm VR is a relatively enjoyable game with an addictive loop, and it's easy to lose hours to it. While I wish more was done on the VR side, it's a solid addition to the game. It doesn't do much to improve the lackluster story or repetitive gameplay, however. Addictive or not, some variety would not hurt at all.
Island Time VR is a lot of fun for those precious few minutes you find yourself in its world.
While far from a meaty experience, what's there is all good stuff.
Blasters of the Universe is easily the most physical VR game I've ever played.

Given how great the rest of the game is, I'd have been willing to overlook some aesthetic deficiencies, but it beat my expectations on every level.
