El Hijo: A Wild West Tale Reviews
El Hijo is a fine stealth game. It does what it intended to offer, but besides its nice visuals and excellent Morricone-esque soundtrack, it does little to stand out over the dozens, maybe hundreds of much better stealth titles out there. If its nonviolent approach isn’t exactly something so important to you, then I’d recommend looking at its polar opposite in terms of color, violence. and vibe, A Plague Tale: Innocence, instead.
El Hijo is a fun little stealth puzzler that is definitely worth your time if you like similar games in the genre. It’s very cute and has a beautiful art style, but if you want something a bit more obviously elaborate, you won’t get that here. El Hijo isn’t a revolutionary game, but it was so fun and heartwarming that I struggled to put down the controller.
El Hijo is just downright fun to play. It doesn't take a tremendous amount of thought to get through levels and the game is forgiving when you do get "caught". The inspiring of in-game children is a great motivational system that will entice you to replay levels to get 100% completion!
El Hijo: A Wild West Tale’s focus on a non-combat brand of stealth, as well as its forgiving mechanics, serves as a very pleasant change to most stealth games on the market, and its overall style is cute without being cloying. It’s not perfect, with some roughness round the edges mechanically, but there are much worse ways to spend a few hours.
Cute non-violent wild west stealth game not only for beginners. With spaghetti-western world and nice environmental puzzles.

El hijo undoubtedly has good ingredients to get attention and stand out: planning an adventure in the Wild West as a pure infiltration game without hitting a single shot is remarkable. The problem is, as happens on so many occasions, making everything work up to the idea generated by the game. In any case, we have an ideal adventure for lovers of the genre, wrapped in a charming story and with an exquisite artistic design, we have to restore the illusion to the children.

It's hard to play El Hijo without wishing for a little more flair in its stealth system.
El Hijo is a well designed and adequately themed Indie stealth title that relies a lot on its lost longing and emotional story.
El Hijo excels at boiling down stealth's gratifying core mechanics into an enjoyable pick up and play, with a collection of relatively simple, but clever levels.
So, what do you reckon, parder? Will you help El Hijo find his mother and free the children from the bad guys? He may be small, but he’s mighty, and with your help, he can be reunited with his family and ride off into the sunset. If a stealth puzzle game that goes from sweet to sinister super fast sounds like something you’d saddle up for, be sure to check out El Hijo: A Wild West Tale on Steam or Stadia today. Adios, amigos!
This isometric stealth game doesn't bring anything new to the stealth genre table, and it struggles with believability, but it's still a fun and charming little game worth checking out.
El Hijo is a joy to play. Despite the occasional wobble, it's a rewarding and remarkably serene stealth tale with plenty of heart.
El Hijo - A Wild West Tale is one of those games that you like to pour yourself a hot drink after a busy cold winter day and experience calmly. In addition to the eye-catching appearance, the game's stealth system - although it could have given the player more freedom of action - is clever and enjoyable.
