Critic Reviews for Mary Skelter Finale
The third entry to this dungeon crawler series is not much more than average, offering a disappointing overextended Finale to the Mary Skelter franchise.
Mary Skelter Finale is an incredibly dense game. Dozens of unique gameplay mechanics, intriguing characters, and gigantic dungeons make up just a small portion of this gigantic dungeon crawler.
Overall, Mary Skelter Finale is in a rough place. It's far from accessible to newcomers, the opening can be fairly intimidating and there is a lot of stuff thrown at you at once. This makes it hard to recommend to newcomers and have the potential to fail with returning fans. Those who enjoy dungeon crawlers and put in the time are greeted with a rather interesting experience that concludes the series nicely.
There’s still a good handful of things to like; I think the characters are all unique and cute with their design and personalities. If you want to play Mary Skelter Finale, play the previous games first to know if you may be interested in a dungeon crawling JRPG.
Engaging characters and dramatic plot twists teamed with a stellar soundtrack make Mary Skelter Finale one of the best dungeon crawling RPGs on Nintendo Switch. Replayability will happen if the true ending is not reached as all will want the beloved characters to get their final happy ending, and also for the pure joy of being with such a unique lovable cast. Issues such as enemy visuals in battle and at times frustratingly difficult puzzles do not detract much from the overall enjoyment of the final title in the Mary Skelter trilogy whose traumatic start and heart-warming conclusion leaves a memorable imprint on gamers' hearts.
Mary Skelter Finale closes the curtain for Idea Factory's DRPG franchise in a satisfying way. It does so before the audience could get tired, but while it still could explore its story and refine a few exploration and combat mechanics.

It's a little disappointing that one of the most compelling and thought-provoking dungeon crawlers will be inevitably dismissed and derided because it's fleshy and fan servicey. The Mary Skelter series is one of Idea Factory's greatest achievements, being both mechanically deep and thematically rich, and Mary Skelter Finale is the complete realisation of the intent of the series. I'd never encourage Australians to break the law to access censored games, of course, but just remember those Nintendo Switch consoles are region free...
If you enjoyed the previous entries then you'll absolutely love Mary Skelter Finale. It's so jam-packed with content, cleverly designed scenarios, and incredible characters that you'll find it hard to put down even after hours of bloody good dungeon crawling.
