Critic Reviews for Asterix & Obelix: Slap Them All!
A not-so-exciting scrolling beat-em-up, due to repetitive levels and poorly honed game mechanics. The beautiful graphic setting and local multiplayer raise it from total lack of interest.

Asterix & Obelix: Slap Them All! it is a game of contrasts. If you look at it as a tribute to the comics of Uderzo and Goscinny, it has a lot of charm; if you look at it as beat'em up, it looks like a Gaul who has forgotten to take the magic potion before messing with a Roman.

We would have liked a little more ambition for this new adaptation of the adventures of Asterix and Obelix.

Asterix & Obelix: Slap Them All ends up being a game full of wonderfully hand-drawn visuals and extremely repetitive combat. It makes it hard to really recommend this game to anyone other than those that are fans of the duo. While yes, some young kids may enjoy the overly simplistic nature of the game; anyone who is an older gamer will become quickly bored with the easy combat, and lack of new moves or attacks.
Asterix & Obelix: Slap Them All! is best suited for younger players and casual audience. Everyone else will probably find the game extremely boring.

Asterix and Obelix: Slap Them All is a pleasure to watch, not as much to play. The main problem of the title developed by Mr. Nutz Studio is a too simple gameplay, repeated without any changes level after level. Excellent graphics, whose main limitation is the constant reuse of the same assets.

It's a stunning homage to the original comics that will excite fans whilst being a great way to introduce newcomers to the series. The game is lacking some much-needed depth, and even though it's a good length, there are still many missing features that are synonymous with the beat 'em up genre.
Asterix & Obelix: Slap Them All leaves discordant feelings once finished. It is a beat 'em up capable of entertaining thanks to its indignant rhythm, its hilarious fights and the genuine sympathy of the universe created by Goscinny and Uderzo that also works well in a videogame key.
