The Lara Croft Collection Reviews
The Lara Croft Collection sees two excellent Tomb Raider spin-offs hit Nintendo Switch in an excellent package that offers up plenty of puzzles, slick combat, and fun local co-op action. There are a few performance issues in Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris, and the lack of online co-op for both games is a shame, but overall this is still a great double pack that we recommend picking up. They may initially look like watered-down takes on the main franchise but make no mistake, these are two of Lara's very best outings.
Fans will love the Lara Croft Collection, but even newcomers just looking for an interesting adventure game will find a lot to like.
Although the two games that compose the Lara Croft collection are actually Tomb Raider spin-offs, they provide a local multiplayer experience that will entertain arcade-action fans and achievement-seekers alike. They're also a reminder of what we used to love about the Tomb Raider games.
Two fun and action filled games! The first Tomb Raider game released for Switch should delight both new and old fans of the series.
The Lara Croft Collection is a competent porting of the original titles, but it lacks any additional content that would've made this the definitive edition of these games.

The Lara Croft Collection is not to be overlooked. This bundle encompasses one great and one decent arcade action adventure, of which twin-stick shooter and score attack fans will find plenty of enjoyment. Although both games are worth experiencing in multiplayer if possible, Guardian of Light, at the very least, deserves playing even solo, and is a reminder of what Tomb Raider is all about, captured expertly in a style that is positively different, yet respectfully reminiscent of the classic series. Technical issues remain, but it's just a joy to have these ported to a modern platform. Now, with things quiet on the Lara Croft front, surely, it's time for that long overdue third game in this mini-series.
When it comes to co-op games, you can't do much better than The Lara Croft Collection. It's an absolute blast whenever you play it with a friend whether you're working together or laughing your asses off while blowing each other up with carefully-placed bombs.
Lara Croft's debut on the Nintendo Switch provides hours of endless fun with two Tomb Raider adventures jam-packed with inventive platforming puzzles, fast-paced arcade combat and 2-4 player co-op. The isometric viewpoint and stylized gameplay of Guardian of Light and Temple of Osiris might not please casual players of the series, but there is definitely something for everyone in this unique, rewarding collection.
The bottom line is that both Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris and Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light are good games, regardless of whether you’re playing solo or (locally) with a friend. They were a breath of fresh air for the series when they first released a decade ago, and The Lara Croft Collection is a great opportunity to discover them, whether it’s anew or for the first time.
