Kingdom Come gives you the best opportunity to take the role of a nobody and transform them into the character you truly want to be. Despite some bugs, Kingdom Come offers hours upon hours of content and history for you to enjoy.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance is an intricate RPG brimming with realism in an immersive world, but all of its grandeur is consistently overshadowed by the unpolished experience of tinkering with its systems.
At the start of this review, I said “Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a game which flew well under my radar,” well skip forward to now and I can tell you Kingdom Come: Deliverance is my game of the Year so far. Sure it’s not perfect, with many glitches and an odd lock-picking and pickpocketing mechanic, but it’s the sum of the parts, rather than some of the parts, which makes Kingdom Come: Deliverance a great game.
A massive, engrossing, and immersive game with loads of content and an impressive attention to detail. Were it not for the myriad of bugs and issues this would be a true classic.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance transforms the mundane into something special, intertwines its mechanics with both its narrative and setting in a way that few games managed to do it.

A cross between a history book and a hack-and-slash RPG, Kingdom Come: Deliverance sets out to make a medieval themed game that is as historically accurate as humanly possible. It commits to the RPG system by offering roleplaying and not just combat with bits of dialogue sprinkled in, and it really immerses you in its setting. It has some rough edges but these shouldn’t distract from what is fundamentally a great game experience.
I don't think it's worth picking up yet. If you're the kind of person who isn't all that bothered about tech issues and will happily watch the game you paid £50 for get patched to high heaven than jump in. You'll find a multi-layered story with characters that are engaging and a world that's ripe for exploration where you get to make your own save points out of alcohol.
Overall, Kingdom Come: Deliverance gets a 9/10, the gameplay is amazing, replacing my need to play Skyrim for quite some time to come. Swordplay is smooth and unforgiving to those who rush in, setting your character up is immersive and engaging, skill progression is rewarding and clearly displayed with diplomacy being rather in-depth.
Despite an abundance of bugs and some minor quibbles, Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a fantastic game whose issues can unfortunately be made even worse from a frustratingly atrocious save system.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance looks, sounds and acts the part but is inherently flawed in so many different ways that it’s very hard to pay attention to its good traits long enough to not to be distracted by the bad.
