Snezhinka

Critic Reviews for Snezhinka
As a fan of the first game, I'm very happy that Snezhinka exists as it's an improved iteration of an already great shooting formula. 🤖
Snezhinka and Murfasha are the same game. Only the story changes, there is really nothing wrong with it because the action part is very fun. This, along with the variety of weapons, skills and companions, makes it bearable to repeat the story with all its variants. That and the fact that this mode is very short. Even so, it is not very challenging in this mode. Luckily there is the challenge mode (excuse the redundancy), which makes it a very addictive pastime for downtime.

As a game, Snezhinka doesn't let its players down. Delivering some good action and strategy elements on it's surface while still mixing a lot of funny moments in a absurd narrative. The switch version lacks some analog sensibility options, but besides that, still delivers a quality title to the console.

I normally tend to swing towards the cozier side of gaming. Give me your Animal Crossings, your Stardew Valleys. With that being said, though, I genuinely enjoyed this game! It presented a very compelling story and world that I would love to see more of. Hinyari9 also managed to sell me on a run-and-gun style of game, which is normally not my cup of tea. Honest truth – give this game a chance – if the concept of making different builds doesn’t sell you on this game, the story might win you over instead!
Snezhinka is an arcade-style 2D shooter, focused on anime girls defending against waves of mechs on behalf of their authoritarian government. It's a strange game, but the atmosphere succeeds in its oppressiveness and the fast-paced gameplay keeps its simplicity from becoming tedium. It's a small package, but it offers a ton of fun for a few hours, knowing it's just as important to leave a good final impression as it is to have a strong first impression.
The game is very simple in its various facets and does not offer much to keep the player engaged for a long time.
