Kabuto Park’s runtime is less than a day (that oft-misquoted lifespan of a fly), but for a low price, it’s worth it.

Although it's super-adorable and sure to make you smile, Kabuto Park rapidly becomes a tedious game with its super-repetitive gameplay. 🐛

Seriously, what a joy! This game reminds me of some of the earliest phone games that hit the sweet spot between being very simple and very addicting, and I mean that in the best possible way. Kabuto Park isn’t the type of game you really sink your teeth into, and it never tries to be, but sometimes rather than a full meal, all you need is a snack to go along with your summer vacation. If you are looking for a short and sweet game that runs on good vibes and repetition, definitely pick this up.

At first, the game was slow and rather boring. But after I got past the first three days and got a real grasp on what I was doing, I started having lots of fun. Kabuto Park is a very chill and relaxing title that many players will enjoy.

Kabuto Park captivates with its charm, welcoming atmosphere, and the way it transforms the simple activity of catching insects into an adventure full of personality. The beautiful illustrations, charismatic creatures, and nostalgic setting help make the experience memorable, even with fairly simple mechanics. Its short duration and lack of additional content prevent it from going beyond a more modest offering, but this doesn't diminish its merits. In the end, it's an unpretentious, enjoyable adventure, perfect for those who want to relax for a few hours.

This family-friendly mix of bug collecting and battling is pretty nice and cozy, but also decidedly shallow in the end

Kabuto Park is a delightful bug-collecting and push battle game. There is a good balance between bug collecting and battling in order to progress through the game and become Beetle Battles Champion.

Honestly, although I very much enjoyed it, I think it was let down by the lack of range. It released in the same month as Bugtopia, and whilst the former has over 300 different bug types, Kabuto Park has only 40. Despite its small size and short gameplay, it could’ve easily been rated a little higher if there was only more variety. However, having said that, I still think it’s a steal for the price; it’s such a peaceful, beautiful, and enjoyable experience.
