This year's edition delivers more than EA FC 25 ever did-or at least, more than it should have. The game impresses with offensive flair, smarter goalkeepers, new playstyles and tactics, and a cleaner UI. The price is high, and defensive issues are still glaring, but overall, it's enjoyable in its current state.

EA Sports FC 26 is the game that fantastic refinement to the norm with excellent visuals and improvements, although online AI defense can be suspect.
While EA Sports FC 26 still has the same familiar issues like microtransactions and AI oddities, it's still entertaining for the typical kickoff banter with your friends and is worth playing for Ultimate Team enthusiasts.
EA Sports FC 26 has managed to become the football game that most closely resembles what we see on television. However, no solution has yet been found for the bugs that have been present for years.

EA Sports FC 26 is definitely fun to play, and the inclusion of new mechanics has made the virtual footballing experience much better and less of a headache. However, the changes mentioned above are just about the only things you could argue hold any ounce of significance.
EA Sports FC 26 feels like the step forward last year’s game should have been. Authentic mode makes matches play out more like real football, and Career Mode finally has features that keep you hooked. Ultimate Team and Clubs got smaller tweaks that help, even if FUT’s monetization still drags. It’s not a huge leap, but it plays better, looks sharper, and is a clear upgrade over FC 25.
