Critic Reviews for Truck-kun is Supporting Me from Another World?!
Truck-kun is Supporting Me from Another World?! is Strange Scaffold's latest title, making players run over people and objects for isekai support.
I was palpably bored with Truck-kun is Supporting Me from Another World after about two hours, which made the last hour before I rolled credits an agonizing slog. It’s a big disappointment, because the initial story and gameplay hooks are really cool and funny, but it just doesn't go anywhere with it.
Truck-kun is Supporting Me From Another World?! does not keep its cards hidden; this is exactly the game it presents itself as, and nothing more, and nothing less.
Truck-kun is Supporting Me from Another World?! is such a silly concept made from a ridiculous meme in the isekai genre of manga and anime. That is to say, Strange Scaffold understands the conventions of the genre, and includes some fantastic character designs and a great ska-inspired soundtrack.
Our heroine, Carissa Ward, becomes the latest victim of a truck-related death, transforming her into a legendary hero sent to the mystical lands of Talinfold.
I had a blast with Truck-kun is Supporting me from Another World?! I had a few nitpicks with objectives and the map, but overall this was a fun game.
The gameplay is hectic, and the short loop style delivers in that strangely specific way, and I really enjoyed my brief playthrough. It’s just a shame that the game offers so little variety that the whole experience feels as repetitive as it does, especially with such an outlandish premise.
Truck-kun is Supporting Me from Another World?!'s zany arcade antics crash in with a satisfying feedback loop perfect for those always on the move.
