Twisted Tower Reviews
The world of Twisted Tower is impressively vast, with so much to explore from one playthrough to the next. Its thematic and narrative depth is commendable too, though it could have pushed the envelope just a bit further on that front.
I don’t think anyone is going to find anything exactly new in Twisted Tower, but I think that’s the point. It’s a throwback to some of the best parts of the seventh generation first person shooters mixed with the some of the best parts of what is now called “boomer shooters” and Twisted Tower blends them well.
It’s one of those games where a developer’s enthusiasm for a genre leads to a perfect alignment of fresh and familiar. Twisted Tower is a must-play for fans of BioShock, classic first-person shooters, haunted carnivals, and evil amusement parks.
Ultimately, Twisted Tower effectively blends a theme park setting with horror, delivering memorable moments thanks to its well-crafted atmosphere, soundtrack, voice acting, and tight arena combat filled with enemies. Despite its great ideas, the game eventually becomes repetitive and inconsistent in its direction, leaning heavily into a full-on action title due to its wide array of combat and exploration elements. Regardless, it remains an extremely fun and immersive experience that will certainly appeal to players missing games in the style of Bioshock.

Twisted Tower is the classic FPS you always wanted, with a charming horror theme park setting and some seriously ridiculous guns.
From the title screen, I knew I was going to like Twisted Tower. Drawing on a clear love of Bioshock, it tells its own twisted story in a fun and creepy way. Satisfying, brutal combat will take you on a compelling, and gory, adventure to save the damsel in distress through a well-crafted carnival of madness.
Twisted Tower features a theme that kept me extremely immersed from beginning to end. The puzzles scattered throughout the environments were also a great success and kept me interested in discovering what awaited me in each new room at all times.

Twisted Tower is a nonstop thrill(carnival) ride from start to finish, and can be completed in one sitting as it only takes about four to six hours to complete. There’s also a New Game Plus option, which will give you access to other areas on each floor that were previously boarded up, so there’s plenty of incentive to play it more than once. I know I will. If you love Bioshock and want to play a severely demented carnival-themed take on it, then its time to scale the Twisted Tower.
