Bluey’s Happy Snaps is true to the show, capturing the visuals, humour and emotional warmth in a lovely photography adventure that’s even better when played together. Lio and I had a blast exploring, snapping pictures and discovering secrets. A few missed opportunities for proper co-op minigames keep it from being perfect, but as a Father & Son gaming experience, this one is a real treat.

Despite Happy Snaps providing direction with its scrapbooks, it’s otherwise content to let you go off and have fun taking photos of whatever you want.

Plus, it's a cooperative game, so two family members can enjoy it together . Even I had fun hunting for the photos... and I don't even have a child this age to play with, and my exposure to the series is practically nonexistent.

Bluey's Happy Snaps is a family fun filled experience aimed at empowering kids to own their game time. It feels like a genuine Bluey episode that immerses players into the whacky adventures of the Heeler family, whilst providing easy controls and mechanics kids will love. Although replayability is dictated by how kids wish to tackle post game content, Happy Snaps will keep them smiling from play on and off the screen.

Bluey's Happy Snaps' photography theme justifies another virtual romp through Bluey's world, though it can't quite escape feeling like a tablet game blown up for consoles.

A wonderfully interactive photography adventure, Bluey's Happy Snaps is easy enough for the youngest children to enjoy while still being engaging for older kids and parents. It looks fantastic – just like an episode of the TV series – and its Toem-meets-Pokémon-Snap gameplay is an absolute joy to experience.

Bluey's Happy Snaps captures the charm of the beloved series with faithful visuals, familiar voices, and a relaxing photography adventure designed for the whole family. Exploring recognizable locations, discovering hidden details, and decorating the photo album offer plenty of opportunities for creativity, while the coloring activities are a welcome addition for younger players. Although the adventure is relatively short and the gameplay can become repetitive, it delivers a delightful experience for families to enjoy together.

Overall, Bluey’s Happy Snaps is a fantastic little adventure that captures everything you love about the television series. From exploring familiar Brisbane locations and snapping photos to the colourful visuals, cheerful soundtrack and enjoyable local co-op, there’s plenty here for the entire family to enjoy. The gameplay might be a little basic for older gamers, but with its simple controls, smooth 60fps performance in both handheld and docked mode on the Nintendo Switch 2, and plenty of that familiar Aussie charm, it’s hard not to have a good time.

Bluey's Happy Snaps is the perfect love letter to the Australian phenomenon that is the animated series Bluey. Gameloft Brisbane showed a lot of care and attention to detail that this franchise deserves. A wonderful experience for the family and I will forever be recommending this game to anyone with their own little Bluey fan.

Bluey’s Happy Snaps captures the charm of the show with its colorful visuals and simple photography mechanics that even young kids can pick up quickly. Exploring each area in search of the right shot is fun, though the experience feels a little too short and the activities lack much depth. Younger fans will get the most out of it, while older players may find their interest fading before long. It’s a charming family game, but I often wished there was more to see and do.
