Critic Reviews for Truckful
For the hoarders. For the scrappers. And for those who know how to change a tire. I do not know where the intersection lies between a car junky and a paranormal thrillseeker, but this is the perfect game for them. For the rest of us, a solid delivery adventure with ghostly undertones awaits. Just be ready to get stuck in the mud more than you expect.
Truckful is a delightful delivery experience that’ll offer plenty of fun across its blend of cozy and creepy driving. The endearing storytelling, satisfying packing and delivering, and sudden bursts of vehicular terror make for one heck of a ride, and whilst the occasional camera issue and break in pace with loading screens can let it down, it still manages to stand out as a very memorable trip.
Truckful has a surprisingly deep, dark story with a lot of enjoyable, entertaining characters. This carried me through the game more than I expected, and I’m glad I got to experience what it had to offer. The physics are hit-or-miss depending on your driving, but the core mechanics and handling are fun. The game excels in story, world-building, mystery, and, more often than not, the main gameplay loop.
Truckful surprised me with its beautiful design, fun gameplay, and a world that offers more than just a few delivery locations. Loading up, upgrading your truck, and meeting strangers combine to make for a cool experience. The secrets and unexpected dangers also leave you curious about what's to come. However, the game is quite tough on standard difficulty, and the early confrontation with the aggressive truck, in particular, could have been paced better. As a result, this pleasant adventure sometimes feels very bumpy.

Truckful has lovely handling, a compelling mystery, and an opening I genuinely loved. There is a good game here, but equipment restrictions and repeated lost progress made staying in love with it much harder than it should have been.
Truckful is a uniquely weird physics-based delivery game blending cozy adventure with eerie thrills. Satisfying cargo packing is ultimately weighed down by clunky map navigation and UI quirks.
Truckful is a strange delivery game that shines in its genre mix, blending horror with cozy exploration. However, it also has plenty of speed bumps in its controls and exploration, creating a frustrating driving experience that could use more quality-of-life improvements. Still, once you get past those roadblocks, the game becomes surprisingly heartfelt, with a compelling story and a charming cast of NPCs who stick with you as you unravel the town's mysteries. It’s a bumpy ride, but if you’re willing to stick with it, Truckful is worth taking for a spin.
Truckful successfully draws players into its valley with its mysterious atmosphere and story. Its physics-based mechanics and handling capabilities make for an impressively ambitious piece of work on the mechanical front. However, when tight spaces, dropped cargo and interaction issues combine, they turn what is otherwise simple gameplay into something needlessly complicated. As a result, the game’s core tension element transforms into an uncomfortable source of frustration rather than something to be embraced.
