Vault-Tec Workshop’s wealth of new structures and tools make it essential for hardcore crafters and Overseer wannabes alike. Its handful of hilarious characters and quests don’t stand up on their own, but they’re not the reason you’d attend the show in the first place. This is settlement builder’s dream, through and through.

Vault-Tec Workshop is a DLC aimed at construction that has included a copule of missions just to fill the empty spaces. Even though its content is pretty impressive talking about structures and gadgets, it will be useless for the player who seeks for adventures.

Fallout 4's Vault-Tec Workshop DLC would be more than worth it for most players if all it did was make the cavern space available to build their own vault. That it adds a 4-5 hour quest on top of making these assets available, for the same $5 price as the other workshop DLCs, makes it a really fantastic value, and one that will give a far greater return to anyone who's wanted to take their experience from Fallout Shelter to the main game. But if you're the type of player who expects a fuller story-based DLC from the Fallout series, this may not be for you.

Fallout's new editing system gains a very powerful icon with the Vaul-Tec Workshop DLC, but for the ones who love walking on the irradiated ground what happens beneath them may be not so interesting.

For whatever it is worth (and the value of Fallout 4's Season Pass is still very dubious) Vault-Tec Workshop is the best of the Workshop packs.

Vault-Tec Workshop is Fallout 4's best settlement DLC, but that won't mean much to those who don't enjoy building settlements to begin with. The often comical experiments that you can subject your dwellers to offer a few hours of fun, and the add-on provides loads of new items and structures to work with, but at the end of the day, we're glad that this marks the end of the game's Workshop offerings - we're just not convinced that Fallout 4 needed so much premium crafting clutter.

If that’s not bad enough, most of the new pieces suffer from the same issues we’ve had since day one, like improper snapping and weird placement.

Fallout 4 was an epic game, very much deserving of the 10/10 rating we bequeathed upon it, but its DLC offerings are another story altogether. If you have the game’s “Season Pass”, you might as well grab a couple extra new Achievements or Trophies. If you’ve been buying DLC piecemeal, leave it alone – unless, of course, you’re very much into crafting.
