Call of Duty: Black Ops III: Zombies Chronicles Reviews
Zombies Chronicles takes a good combination of maps and upgrades them with great attention to detail.
Eight maps for $29.
Call of Duty: Black Ops III Zombies Chronicles is a great showcase of how a much beloved series has evolved over nearly a decade. It still has some great moments and can still feel fresh and exciting, but those moments cant hold back the slump into grinding repetition most matches end up being.
Treyarch has certainly taken care in bringing these older maps back from the dead.
The visual upgrades for this DLC defy the bar set for most remasters. The majority of these classic Zombies maps offer the same addictive appeal of building strategies and loadouts through cohesive teamwork against the undead hordes, and with new life breathed into them with near-future weapons and features, we can attest that Zombies Chronicles is one killer collection you'll want to sink your teeth into – even if you only buy Black Ops III for it alone.
There is no question the most noticeable eye popping difference with these maps is the enhanced visuals.
More than a cynical cash-grab, Zombies Chronicles is a carefully remastered collection of the best of Call of Duty's Zombies. With enhanced visuals, lighting and especially audio, it's a must for Zombies fans.
Zombies Chronicles gets the job done and hits most of the high notes the subseries has given us over the years.
Treyarch offers nostalgic journey for their biggest fans, making in the same time a perfect occasion for everybody else to experience Zombie mode.

I appreciate just how much effort has been put into this collection, and note that it appears that the zombies are not not just lumbering monsters as they were in the past, but move with improved AI that increases their ferocity and cunning. All up this revamp is a stunning success, and for newcomers and seasoned veterans alike, I would strongly suggest you add this pack to your arsenal of fun.
Zombies Chronicles aims for the nostalgia of Zombies fans, and for the most part serves it well. Some of the changes made for the sake of evolution may have been better left undone, but the most important elements of these classic maps are still intact.
Treyarch has clearly relished the opportunity to revisit and update these seminal undead moments and used Zombies Chronicles as a vehicle to deliver a solid piece of fan service. It's a highly polished yet thoroughly putrid package that, besides preserving the corpse rattling legacy of COD Zombies, also does a great job of providing a wide variety of differing locations to swiftly and repeatedly die in with a few friends (or strangers), thus making it an essential 'no brainer' for veterans and newcomers to the series alike.
Zombies Chronicles is an amazing DLC for the zombie fans. Tryarch chose the best maps they ever done for the zombie mode, and remastered them beautifully. The maps in this DLC means a lot for the players who played them before, and will be a fresh and unique experience for the players who never played them before.

This DLC is a must-have for anyone with an interest in fighting the undead, whether you are a long-time fan of Nazi Zombies or a newcomer. Zombie Chronicles breaths new life into the undead-filled survival mode for which Call of Duty has been know for years. Everything is as you remember it, only far prettier and with a sense of tighter controls. Do yourself a favor and check out the end of an era before Call of Duty: WWII drastically changes up the formula.
For the casual zombie player it might be worth holding out for Call of Duty: WW2 and playing the new zombie mode that will be included with that instead
