Critic Reviews for Uurnog Uurnlimited

Wholly unique and deceptively punishing, Uurnog Uurnlimited is as clever as it is creative.

Uurnog Uurnlimited is a great example of poor execution.

The game's puzzles give the player enough freedom to approach them in their own way, granting an enormous degree of freedom that makes this a game which requires an outside the box approach, one which makes this a unique and recommended experience to all.

Uurnog Uurnlimited is a Nifflas game through and through, but unless you're a diehard fan of his puzzle design philosophy, this isn't a game which will win you over. So many times in play, I felt like the developer was assuming I was going to think the same way that he would – and maybe that would be true for fans of his other games, but for players expecting a more traditional platformer experience every design choice here will be infuriating.

However, whenever I felt like I didn't know what to do I would just keep on exploring rooms and would find a beacon of direction to work towards, and never felt like I was completely lost. If retracing your steps in the same environments isn't up your alley, I would steer clear of this title. But if you can't get enough of old school exploration, trial and error and classic 2D puzzles, Uurnog Uurnlimited can provide you with an Uurnique experience.

Via exploration, Uurnog Uurnlimited makes puzzles more unique with multiple solvable solutions and sometimes even because of your actions. Amazingly paced and unique.

Within the indie world of independent video game development, there are more conventional things and more personal things. Uurnog Uunrlimited is particular in nose, but in many noses, Pinocchio is flat in comparison. But it's also an excellent job on a platform and puzzle adventure with the very personal stamp of Nicklas Nygren, or Nifflas for those of us who get involved with Swedish names.
