Critic Reviews for 39 Days to Mars
39 Days' premise is promising, but its short runtime leaves lots to be desired, making for a fun but ultimately forgettable romp
With unique and tricky puzzles, 39 Days to Mars will feel right at home in any puzzle fan's game collection.
39 Days to Mars is a short but funny and compelling trip from Earth to Mars with you and another person, or you and a pet cat. Designed for couch co-op, it doesn't penalise you for being a misanthrope like myself and offers a good amount of replay value with varied paths to take. It's well worth taking this trip to the red planet.
39 Days to Mars offers a lot of fun cooperative play but it's far too short an experience.
While notably short, 39 Days to Mars is a lot of fun, delivered in an attractive artistic design. It's really more puzzles than adventure, but the puzzles are satisfying to solve and never caused one of those "how was I supposed to know that??" moments.
39 Days to Mars succeeds as a one-hour coop game whereas the solo experience is quite frustrating, due to the way the puzzles were conceived. The art direction is a treat though and both characters are true witty british clich's.

39 Days to Mars manages to make steampunk more than tolerable with this charming and innovative adventure game, developed by Christchurch designer Philip Buchanan.
39 Days to Mars an amusing puzzle-adventure that manages to hit the right steampunk notes while mostly preserving that understated British charm. It's worth breaking out to play with friends, particularly if you're getting cheered or heckled by an alcohol-infused rabble. We just wish there was more voyage in this interplanetary adventure.
