Assassin's Creed Odyssey Review Summary

MightyCritic Consensus

Size and Scope

Players will enjoy exploring Odyssey's massive, rich, and beautiful open-world.

Quality RPG Gameplay

Building on its predecessor, Odyssey's RPG systems and combat foundations give it the best gameplay in the series.

Epic Adventures

Odyssey's main narrative and side stories are both epic, entertaining, and rewarding.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey takes advantage of its predecessor's reboot, expanding on what worked while minimizing what didn't. Though the game can lose steam in the middle sections, Odyssey manages to deliver one of the best open-world games of the year.

While its large-scale campaign--clocking in at over 50 hours--can occasionally be tiresome, and some features don't quite make the impact they should, Odyssey makes great strides in its massive and dynamic world, and it's a joy to venture out and leave your mark on its ever-changing setting.
