Critic Reviews for Evasion

Evasion is another example of a fast-paced VR game that doesn't seem like it could work in theory, but has been executed with a care and precision befitting of a developer that has a lot of expertise in the VR field. Bullet-hell in virtual reality? Archiact made it work well, despite what naysayers may say about what the medium can handle.

It's unlikely to leave as much of an impact as Farpoint did, but Evasion offers a competent and entertaining shoot 'em up campaign for those looking to bring devastation to the next alien race. Alongside a horde mode that'll have you coming back for more, this is one experience that PlayStation VR fanatics won't want to miss.

Evasion is a decent FPS for the PSVR, but it needed just a bit more variety to make it fun and engaging. The initial structure of the gameplay is spot-on, but the enemies and level design are just a bit too stale. Hopefully, Archiact continues to make VR titles because I think they're onto something.

Evasion is fun when you have someone beside you blasting away, communicating, having a laugh. Playing by yourself shows the repetitive nature and structure of the campaign though and that's why is really hard for me to recommend picking Evasion up, unless you know you'll primarily have someone to play the game with.

Evasion for Oculus Rift is a somewhat short but highly playable, simple but very fun, technically correct and visually pleasing video game that undoubtedly does what it promises and deserves a spot in our virtual reality game library.
