Shadow of the Tomb Raider: The Forge Reviews
If you already have the Season Pass, I would say The Forge is worth checking out. If you’re thinking of just shelling out five dollars for the game, I wouldn’t recommend it without getting the whole kit and caboodle: it’s just not enough content for what you get, although it is fun if you’re already a fan of the game.
The Forge is a disappointingly brief and underwhelming add-on to an excellent game. What is there is technically good, but hard to recommend as content that Square Enix is asking you to pay for. I'd recommend holding off to see if the rest of the season pass is worthwhile or if you should pass on it entirely.
The Forge is a very short DLC that lasts one hour and it looks like a fetch quest ripped off by the main adventure. Negligible.

The Forge presents a rather bland story and a tomb with a somewhat interesting challenge. The cooperative online mode is a valid addition and we hope the upcoming DLCs will also offer this.

£3.99 might not sound like much, but it's still overpriced for what is a really boring bit of content, with a Challenge Tomb that isn't on par with some of the ones from the main adventure. It is over far too quickly, but the Time and Score Attacks and ability to tackle it through online co-op add some reasons to re-run.
I'm a little disappointed with this first pack of DLC given that it's so short, the tomb isn't very interesting, and the two new modes are quite similar.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider: The Forge is a solid addition to the experience providing a challenging tomb to tackle within the narrative or in a competitive mode.
