Psychonauts 2 exists and it is almost a miracle that we have it in our hands. It seemed that its genre was dead to many and the failure of its first installment made us understand why no money-gowned wanted to touch the franchise even with a stick. That said, the collective effort of the community; the enormous talent and heart of the Double Fine team and the work of Xbox Game Studios made it happen. It's an excellent game that I'll be grateful for proving that 3D platformers can be more than just toys for kids.

Psychonauts 2 is one of the best platforms I've ever enjoyed. It's a game that exudes charisma and personality everywhere and raises the bar to an even higher level than its first half. It has a gameplay and story that hooks from the first minute and that together with a graphic, sound section and a spectacular performance becomes a serious candidate for GOTY.

It's honestly astounding how incredible Psychonauts 2 is. After 16 years, the expectations for the sequel were so high it felt as though they were impossible to meet. We don't know how they did it, but the wizards at Double Fine not only met them but smashed through them with ease. Psychonauts 2 is an extraordinary achievement in both its gameplay and storytelling, balancing heavy themes of mental health with its whimsical world. In lesser hands, it could have been a disaster, but the team has taken every aspect of the original game, built upon it and respected the fanbase in the process. Psychonauts 2 is the best game of 2021 so far and one of the greatest sequels ever made.
Psychonauts 2 is an absolutely fantastic game, and I can say that with certainty. Double Fine took an amazing concept that was ahead of its time and proved that they could do it again. The very few issues I had with the game were minor and had absolutely zero bearings on my overall enjoyment of the game
Will players overlook Psychonauts 2 like they did with its predecessor? we certainly hope not, as this is a unique and big adventure, and its obvious that a lot of effort went into creating it. pacing is a bit slow though.

Psychonauts 2 deals about being left alone and losing loved ones, amongst many other serious mental conditions. Playing through can be a burden to one’s chest. The game got personal to me. Especially at the latter parts where emotions are flowing through every NPC’s past. I suggest you take a breather as much as you can. And as much as I enjoyed the game, I had to rest after every boss battle and the following closure to most worlds. The first game sold fewer copies than intended when it launched. And with the fun, I had playing through Psychonauts 2, here’s to hoping it gets the attention it deserves.
As far as 3D platformers go, you certainly can't get much more consistently varied than Psychonauts 2 with its trippy environments and nifty psychic abilities. Throw in an excellent cast of characters and memorable story and you're left with one heck of an adventure.

Psychonauts 2 is a game for everyone. Because of the recap about what happened in the last two titles, newcomers and returning players will be able to slip seamlessly into this game. The story is incredibly awesome with a lot of the issues in the gameplay being fixed. Double Fine has lived up to their high standards and made a world just as incredible as the first game. If your fan of the series or never played the original before, this is definitely a game to pick up.
As someone who has loved Psychonauts since I first played it over a decade ago, I cannot stress how much joy this sequel has brought me. If you're someone that also loves the original, I have a hard time believing that you won't enjoy this experience from beginning to end. And even if you're a newcomer who has been interested in Psychonauts 2 from afar, there is still more than enough here to keep you smiling from ear to ear on a regular basis. Psychonauts 2 is absolutely one of the best games so far in 2021 and serves as a fantastic example of why Xbox looked to purchase Double Fine in the first place.
The real strong point is and remains the narration: crazy and brilliant but, above all, able to act on several levels having fun but also pushing towards reflections on how complex the human psyche can be.

A sequel that was worth the 16-year wait. Just don't make us wait that long for another one.
Psychonauts 2 is a masterpiece, and it is everything I ever hoped it would be.
Psychonauts 2 is not the most difficult game you will ever play but it is one of the most enjoyable and will keep you coming back for more whether that be to enjoy the comedy again or to get that 100% score of collectibles, pins, and badges that are on offer. I often talk to people about why gaming has sometimes managed to lose focus on what is important and that is the sheer fun of playing games: playability. How many games are there now that look amazing but play like utter tripe? Too many. What Psychonauts 2 does is bring stunning cartoon-style graphics that made me feel as if I was in a cartoon show, intuitive controls, and a narrative that will both bewilder and amaze in equal measure. I feel there is so much more of the game I have not yet explored and what really stands out for me is the games’ understanding of human frailties and character flaws. If Psychonauts 2 helps others to do the same then it has achieved something very special and for me personally, this is a game that will forever hold a special place in my gaming heart.
Psychonauts 2 is bursting with imagination, and that’s the thing that will stick in your mind for a long time.
Psychonauts 2 was faithful to the fans of the first part and gave a lot to them and provided a lot to fans of this genre of games and gave a lot to game lovers in general, the game presented everything almost perfectly from a human and emotional story with purposeful messages and a very elaborate gameplay and of the best design stages in the gaming industry It has a great artistic direction with distinction, and the tunes are perfectly compatible with all of the above. Psychonauts 2 is one of the best games of 2021

Minor shortcomings aside, Psychonauts 2 is the rare sequel that succeeds in living up to the hype and delivering on the promise set up by its predecessor and many years of anticipation. It is such a treat to spend more time in this world, and I will still staunchly argue that Psychonauts is the best stuff Doublefine has ever created. I love that this exists, I love that a whole new generation of gamers are getting the chance to experience this magnificent world for the first time, and it is so refreshing to see a game with so much creativity get the time, attention, and budget it deserves. Psychonauts 2 is a heartfelt, joyous adventure that ups the ante in every way, and I think it’s a must play experience for anybody who loves a good adventure.
Psychonauts 2 is not just a rare example of a sequel that delivers an experience to rival or outperform its predecessor, it’s truly a masterpiece in its own right.
