One of the biggest complaints in the Heat series has been that the yearly improvements are incremental, and that is probably a fair assessment to a degree. What NASCAR Heat 4 delivers is the most significant year-to-year improvement we have seen yet, and some of the most important regarding on-track progression. If you have been a fan of the series before this year or have shown even the slightest interest in joining the fold, NASCAR Heat 4 delivers some substantial improvements and added depth with this year's release.

NASCAR Heat 4 is a game that does its best to provide significant improvements while still feeling familiar to fans.
NASCAR Heat 4, at its core, is still an amazing NASCAR experience. The physics are tight and what you expect to feel when driving. The A.I. seems smarter, and even if it isn’t, they still do a great job of reacting to your presence on the track. But even with how good the core is, the game is still plagued by a career mode that needs some more work if it wants to hold my attention for longer and get me into the Cup series.
NASCAR Heat 4 brings a much-needed rise in temperature to the series with an improved presentation and deeper gameplay experience, but the new career mode options could use a slight tune-up at the next pit stop.
The controls feel good, the gameplay feels good, and I like the variety that`s on offer within it.
