Felix the Reaper Reviews
Felix the Reaper is an excellent game on paper, but its execution dooms it. While the unique concept shines—and I doubt I'll be forgetting such a lovable face of death anytime soon—the actual gameplay made it a bit of a slog.
Felix the Reaper is an exhaustingly tedious puzzle game that attempts to set itself apart with the patina of a quirky thematic approach.
If there’s one thing that Felix the Reaper isn’t lacking in it’s quirky personality...
Felix the Reaper's protagonist is a joy to watch in motion, but every other part of this frustrating puzzle game fails to match that level of charm.
The way that Felix the Reaper is packaged together, and the light-hearted nature of it all, does drag you back in. It’s charming nonsense, and with plenty of additional options to replay levels to challenge yourself further, it won’t be a game you’re done with in a hurry either, once it has its hooks into you.
Driven by an exquisite and eclectic soundtrack, Felix the Reaper is a fun and challenging puzzle game. Too easy or too difficult depending on the way the player makes use of the cheats, this title may not delight all fans of the genre but it's rather likeable.

Though Patrick Stewart's lovely voice and Felix's dancing moves bring a smile to your face every now and then, nearly everything else in Felix The Reaper is uneven, uninteresting and annoying.

Solving puzzles in Felix the Reaper can be rewarding but with so many abstruse solutions, many of them are hard to enjoy.
So, a strongly presented idea with Felix is his love of music. He slaps on a pair of headphones at the start of every level, his boss admonishes him for it in the first cut-scene of the game, and his every step is done dancing to the beat of the game's BGM. There's even a track list in the pause menu, letting you skip or replay tracks just as Felix might do.
Felix the Reaper is a challenging puzzle game that is supposed to be a romantic comedy about life and death, but for some reason leaves the romance and some of the comedy aspects out of almost the entire game.
Felix the Reaper will be a game with which we can spend an afternoon helping our achuchable companion to get the attention of his beloved. We should not expect the best story, although the approach in the gameplay will be very original, and a reason to give it a try. In addition, it is on Xbox Game Pass, so it is easier than ever to give it a try.

Felix the Reaper shows that even a puzzle game for occasional gamers can be of high quality. The nicely designed levels, the wonderfully animated protagonist and the funny-macabre cutscenes are a lot of fun and let the playing time involuntarily pass quickly.

Felix the Reaper is a dark romantic-comedy puzzle game that shows promise with its loads of personality, but it's held back by overly simple gameplay.
Amusing dance with Death and with voice of Sir Patrick Stewart.

While Felix the Reaper's unique style and endearing casts of characters is a delight, it's slow, repetitive puzzles take away from its deathly charm.
