Stardew Valley is a charming game across the board, but I wouldn't put its pixel art on the same level of all-timers like The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap. Thankfully, a new indie game looks like it's pulling equal inspiration from both, and the results are incredibly promising.

The Fourleaf Fields Steam page immediately makes its Lilliputian premise clear, describing "a cozy farming life sim where you're no bigger than a carrot." Developed by BEHEMUTT and published by HypeTrain Digital, Fourleaf Fields promises all the Stardew Valley and Harvest Moon staples, with detailed farming mechanics, NPC relationships, and co-op play. There's no release window yet, but the Steam page has an option to request access for any future playtests.

Good farming sims are a dime a dozen, but the apparent influence of The Minish Cap makes Fourleaf Fields a little more eye-catching. The pixel art embraces the cute designs and exaggerated proportions of The Minish Cap, decorating its world with floppy boots and drooping clover rendered with a similar cartoon style.
