Crimson Desert players on PS5 are struggling with the game's performance, but there's an easy fix. Pearl Abyss' first single-player effort has met with mixed reviews. A common complaint, especially from console players, has been poor performance. Excessive pop-in, weird noise in shadows, and significant input delay have all been noted among its issues.

However, at least on PS5, players can immediately improve video quality by changing just one setting, according to Dr_TAG on Reddit. All you have to do is turn off 120Hz mode in the game's Video Output settings, and you should see an immediate bump in graphical quality.

If you zoom in on the Reddit-embedded image above, you can see the issue; the details of Kliff's face appear to have been smudged, and there are strange artifacts floating around more finely detailed areas of the image, like his hair and the fletching on his arrows. Apparently, this is all caused by 120Hz mode gone haywire, and there may be an easy explanation why.
