Given the barrage of shovelware and AI slop that crowds the Steam store, it's hardly surprising when something as obscene as Plantation Simulator slips through the cracks. Unfortunately, it's exceedingly common.
I imagine Stardew Valley and Dave the Diver would be none too happy that they're appearing in the "More Like This" tab.
What's bizarre here, as reported by Kotaku, is that Plantation Simulator, a game where you whip black people "to keep your farm productive" (and if you "whip your black person too much, they will die"), rolled out an update replacing the slaves with white people in bikinis who you can give little "kissies" to.
"Hi gamers! We've listened, and we heard YOU!" the announcement reads. "We've fixed ALL the issues you've been wanting! We've added hearts and little kisses for your friends as you become the best new age plantation owner ever! Good luck! And Keep Gaming!!! UwU."
However, before this update, the game was permitted on Steam for over a week, with no word from Valve despite the blatant breach of its content guidelines.
