A reliable Halo insider has claimed that Halo: Campaign Evolved's development has had a "lot of outsourcing" to the point that it's "not really an in-studio project".
Xbox has had a very strange go of things over the past few years, and nowhere is that clearer than with its treatment of its most iconic series, Halo. Infinite was meant to be a turning point for the franchise after its last few games lost their monumental impact, and while it started off strongly enough, things quickly slowed down.
Since then, 343 Studios has rebranded to Halo Studios, mostly stopped supporting Infinite, shifted development from a battle royale to an extraction shooter, and has even been hit with accusations of mismanagement from senior members. To top it all off, the one game we know the team has been working on, Campaign Evolved, apparently isn't its major focus.
As pointed out by Windows Central, reliable Halo insider Rebs Gaming, who has reported on the series many times now, shared a video going over some exclusive details on Campaign Evolved. One interesting detail that Rebs shared comes from an anonymous source who claimed that the game has been outsourced "a lot".
