Despite making an appearance in a secret ending for 2018's God of War, it was not until God of War: Ragnarök that the Norse god of Thunder, Lightning, Storms, Wrestling, Strength, Consecration, the Sky, and War appeared properly as both an antagonist and Kratos' sworn enemy.
After watching his family fall apart in front of his eyes, Thor is not the God he once was when he goes head-to-head with Kratos for the first time, and when the two fight in one of the most iconic battles in gaming history, it ends in a stalemate during the beginning events of God of War: Ragnarök. His story does not end there, and makes for one compelling storyline that adds multiple sides to Thor that we have not yet seen in media.
As such, Thor, played by Ryan Hurst, has cemented himself as one of the most iconic antagonists in gaming history, and it is no wonder that fans want to see more of him. Although it is unlikely that he will appear in a potential God of War 6, his popularity continues with an exciting release set to launch in January 2027.
