It was earlier this month that the creator of an unofficial The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake announced that it would be scrapping the project as a result of the official remake launching later this year. Feeling that they have no need to continue work on an unofficial remake, creator CryZENx took to their Patreon channel to announce the news.
"I would like to tell you that Ocarina of Time project has officially stopped," their post reads. "Also, thanks so much to all the longtime supporters, you have been supporting me for like a decade. I owe you a lot. Also, thanks to all the newcomers that came in since the Nintendo announcement.... you are a true hero. THANK YOU!"
